Film and Broadway stage actress Rachelle Rak is starting a new chapter in her artistic career with the recent release of her debut album, SAS. In celebration of the release, Rak will be judging a singing competition at Bartini tonight, July 27, at 10:30pm and performing her single, 'SAS' at 11:30pm.

On this week's So You Think You Can Dance, top 10 finalist Alex Wong and all-star partner Lauren Gottlieb endeavored to venture out of their comfort zone and tackle a Broadway-style number by Tyce Diorio. In the rehearsal footage beforehand, Diorio said that it's 'Broadway inspired by the Fosse style but with [his] take on it.' Wong, primarily a ballet dancer, however, did not hit a high note with the SYTYCD judges, who suggested lacked the looseness and heat to truly represent Foose. On the episode, judge Nigel Lythgoe suggested Wong watch KISS ME, KATE and THE LITTLE PRINCE for inspiration.

Eric Rosen, artistic director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, has added CABARET to the Rep's 2010-11 season lineup. Two-time Academy Award-winner Albert Wolsky will receive the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer and educator Ming Cho Lee will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.
