The latest Broadway version of the rarely performed Stephen Sondheim musical The Frogs, an hilarious send up of Greek comedy and satire, with a book revised and expanded by Nathan Lane, is to get its UK premiere in 2017 at Jermyn Street Theatre.

Bill Rudman, Artistic Director of the Musical Theater Project who hosts the radio show 'Footlight Parade' and often co-hosts the MTP live performances, has had an interest in musical theater since he was five and his parents let him stay up late to watch Mary Martin in Peter Pan on television. The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced that Harry Hepple (Baker), Steffan Lloyd-Evans (Wolf/ Cinderella's Prince) and Laura Tebbutt (Baker's Wife) will join the company of Fiasco's enchanting reinvention of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's masterpiece INTO THE WOODS. Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show, originally slated to run through July 31, 2016, will add an additional week, through August 7, in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

Both Sondheim and Lapine will join the company in rehearsal this week. The production opens on 12 July at the Menier, with previews from 1 July, and runs until 17 September.

59E59 Theaters will welcome Dillie Keane (from Fascinating Aida) back to Brits Off Broadway with the US premiere of HELLO DILLIE, written by Ms. Keane and Adele Anderson, and directed by Simon Green and featuring Michael Roulston on piano.
