MTAP's Hot Metal Musicals Incubator presents its third installment of new musical theatre work-in-development with a public reading of The Storm with book, lyrics and music by Stephanie Riso.

In conjunction with its new exhibition, John Singer Sargent's Mrs. Carl Meyer and Her Children, the Jewish Museum will present a series of public programs, including a lecture by scholar Tessa Murdoch, great-granddaughter of Adele Meyer, subject of Sargent's bravura painting, on January 26; and a conversation with exhibition co-curator Norman Kleeblatt and artist Kathleen Gilje on October 27.

The Flea Theater presents the New York premiere of Ellen McLaughlin's adaptation of THE TROJAN WOMEN. It will be directed by Resident Director Anne Cecelia Haney, featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company. Opening night is tonight, September 1st.

Adam Rapp returns to The Flea with WOLF IN THE RIVER. Featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, WOLF IN THE RIVER is written and directed by Rapp. Previews start tonight, March 10, with opening night slated for Monday, March 21.

On March 13th, The Flea Theater and Project1VOICE are teaming up for a one-night-only event to honor the 40th anniversary of Ntozake Shange's for colored girls who have considered suicide / when the rainbow is enuf.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of A. R. Gurney's "The Cocktail Hour," a funny and touching, quasi-autobiographical story about a playwright who writes a new play that presents an unflattering picture of his family, on Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m.  The play will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each. 

The Liquidation Channel (LC) is thrilled to announce Kevin Lyons as the new LC president. Kevin Lyons joined the LC Family on February 15 and has been hard at work ever since. The LC had been working hard finding the perfect candidate to fill such an important position, and after several months the company is overjoyed to have found the ideal person for the job.
