The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today the 2017 Strauss Square fall season including Herbie Hancock. The 2017 lineup will feature a diverse schedule of world-renowned musicians, storytellers and songwriters. The season will kick-off with the most amazing and authentic tribute band ABBA The Concert - A Tribute to ABBA on August 19, 2017. All shows will take place at Annette Strauss Square in the downtown Dallas Arts District. Additional shows to be announced at a later date.

Chicago Folks Operetta (CFO) is proud to announce its 2017 season titled “War and Remembrance.” Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the United States' entry into World War I, the season includes the fully staged Chicago premiere of Kurt Weill's anti-war operetta Johnny Johnson, June 24 – July 9, “Kurt Weill and Paul Green: The Story Behind Johnny Johnson,” a lecture with performances featuring Weill Scholar Tim Carter, May 24 and the CFO premiere of a concert called Operetta and The Great War, June 28 and 29. The Metropolitan Opera's 2017-18 season will feature 220 performances of 26 works, including two Met premieres, one co-commissioned by the company and one an older masterpiece having its first Met performances; a variety of repertory favorites, three in new productions; and performances of Verdi's towering concert work for soloists, orchestra, and chorus, the Requiem.
