NY's All-Irish Theatre Festival ORIGIN'S 1ST IRISH Kicks Off January 9

The 2019 Origin's 1st Irish Theatre Festival, New York's all-Irish theatre festival and the world's only festival devoted exclusively to producing the plays of contemporary Irish playwrights from around the world, settles in to its new January time slot, running three weeks from January 9 to 28. A total 17 events, including six mainstage productions from Belfast, Derry, Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Queens and Manhattan, will be seen in and out of competition. Among the productions, five are US premieres; one is a world premiere. 15 contemporary Irish writers are represented with work in performance.

EMH Productions Presents the Sacramento Premiere of INVERSION By Aditya Putcha

Award winning EMH Productions continues its seventh season of provocative and compelling theatre with the Sacramento premiere of Inversion by up and coming writer Aditya Putcha. A five-character modern day dramedy, this play made its debut at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2017 at the Sacred Fools Theatre. This timely 90 minute play delves into the world of dating, treatment of women as sex objects, the dynamics of relationships between men and women, along with testing our understanding of what it means to truly care for one another. It had its first staged reading to a sold out and enthusiastic audience in June of 2016 directed by Elise Hodge and Produced by EMH Productions. Inversion will run at The Ooley Theatre, Nov. 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 2018 located at 2007 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

NewFest 2018 Announces Full Lineup For Their 30th Anniversary

Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. The program of more than 140 narrative features, documentaries, episodic series and shorts runs from October 24-30 at the SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, and The LGBT Community Center in New York City.

Orpheus Chamber Orchestra presents 'Fire and Light' with Norwegian trumpet virtuoso Tine Thing Helseth on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 7pm in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The concert is the finale of a national tour of the program, and marks Helseth's debut on the Carnegie Hall main stage, performing as featured soloist in two concertos: Albinoni's Concerto Op. 9, No. 2 and Bach's Trumpet Concerto in D major (after Vivaldi), BWV 972.
