Critically acclaimed Austin, TX ensemble, Rude Mechs, returns to New York and makes its Dance Theater Workshop debut with the New York premiere of THE METHOD GUN, a piece exploring the life and techniques of Stella Burden, an apocryphal actor-training guru of the 60s and 70s.

The Acting Company (TAC), in association with the Guthrie Theater, continues its 28-city national tour, stopping at the Guthrie Theater this month for the premiere of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors.

Nacho Duato announced in April of 2010 that by the end of July he would step down as Artistic Director of both CND2 and the parent company CND after founding both companies and twenty years at the helm. For this very special engagement, CND2 will perform the U.S. premiere of Insected by co-Artistic Director Tony Fabre, and acclaimed dancemaker Duato's movingly spiritual works Kol Nidre and Gnawa.

The 34th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from The Humana Foundation, will continue with The Method Gun, created by Austin?based theatre troupe Rude Mechs and written by Kirk Lynn. Building on the success of their critically acclaimed 2009 production of Henry V, these two nationally recognized theater institutions will again showcase the talents of young performers from their ranks, including graduates of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actor Training Program, participants of the Guthrie Experience (GEx), and alumni of The Acting Company.
