Good Triumphs Over All in WICKED. It's hard to know if in 1900 L. Frank Baum ever imagined there would be an afterlife to his children's book 'The Wizard of Oz,' but in 1939 MGM capitalized on book's wide appeal and their film version has became a staple in every child's movie experience. Flash forward 64 years to what can best be described as a prequel to Dorothy's famous journey, and you have the megamusical WICKED, which has become almost as popular as the MGM film.

New Jersey's own Rio Clemente, the Bishop of Jazz, will be joined by world class jazz violinist Vitali Imereli in concert at the Bickford Theatre on Monday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. Following the great tradition of his friend and mentor Stephane Grappelli, Imereli performs around the world with many of the jazz greats. Rio Clemente performs annually at the Bickford Theatre but this concert is the first for Vitali Imereli, who tours mainly in Europe and Asia.

Choreographer Trisha Brown has died on March 18th in San Antonio, Texas, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son, Adam Brown, his wife Erin, her four grandchildren – and by her brother Gordon Brown and sister Louisa Brown. Trisha Brown's husband, artist Burt Barr, died on November 7, 2016.
