Canadian Stage unveiled its highly anticipated 2010-2011 season today, marking the first season programmed by Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn. Legendary comedian JOAN RIVERS continues to make The Laurie Beechman Theatre in Times Square her performance home in New York City. Rivers presents an evening of her newest and most outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, and award show fashions at The Laurie Beechman Theatre inside the West Bank Cafe (407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue).

Based on the beloved book by Dodie Smith and led by an award-winning creative team including four-time Tony Award-winning director Jerry Zaks (A Bronx Tale, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Guys and Dolls), acclaimed bookwriter/co-lyricist B.T. McNicholl (Billy Elliot, Spamalot, The IT Girl), and Dennis DeYoung, co-founder of the legendary rock band Styx, The 101 Dalmatians Musical promises a quirky, upside-down view of the world where the audience sees life from a dog's point of view.

Announced today by Magic Arts & Entertainment/Tix Productions, Troika General Management and international producer Luis Alvarez, York joins an impressive creative team in the starring role as the sinister Cruella de Vil, notorious for kidnapping Dalmatian puppies for their distinctive spots, in a one-of-a-kind musical adventure for the entire family about what it means to be a family, canine and courageous. York makes her debut in The 101 Dalmatians Musical when the North American tour kicks off at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis on October 13, 2009.
