Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) concludes its 56th season with the two-time Tony award-winning musical, American Idiot, directed and choreographed by Alex Perez, who returns to CCCT following his acclaimed Bay Area premiere production of The Addams Family, with music direction by Kevin Roland, who helmed CCCT's recent productions of The Secret Garden and The Sound of Music. American Idiot plays from June 10 through July 17; performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm at the theatre.

Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that the new musical, Mrs. Doubtfire, will premiere at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre this fall on route to Broadway.  The musical features a book Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, the Tony Award nominated team behind Something Rotten!  Four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Hello, Dolly!) will direct and Lorin Latarro (Waitress) will choreograph.  Ethan Popp (Tina) will serve as Music Supervisor.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will welcome back Bon Bon Burlesque with two more scintillating shows on Friday, February 22 and Friday, March 22, both at 9:30 PM. The acclaimed troupe returns to the club after their recent standing room only New Year's Eve celebration. The Puerto Rico-born, Bronx-bred choreographer and performer Marlyn Ortiz, along with choreographer Emmanuel E. Hernandez, directs an all-female cast of New York's hottest dancers, aerialists and comediennes in a show that sets traditional and neo-burlesque elements to Latin rhythms. The evening features the beautiful ladies of Bon Bon Burlesque, in addition to comedienne Lori Sommer, also known as "Madam Honey," singer Rachel Stern, also known as "Ray Ray Star," and Jose Mitaynes as "Manuel."
