BoucharDanse proudly presents the World Premiere of A Congruence of Arrivals showcasing Cross My Heart, choreographed by Denise Fujiwara and performed by Sylvie Bouchard, as well as At yes of day, choreographed by Yvonne Coutts, and performed by Sylvie Bouchard and Marc Boivin. The performances will take place at the Winchester Street Theatre on September 27th, 28th and 29th at 8:00pm with an additional 2:00pm matinee performance on September 29th. A reception will follow the opening night performance on Thursday, September 27th.

The 22nd Annual Urbanworld Film Festival (www.urbanworld.org), presented by AT&T's The Humanity of Connection along with founding partner HBO, presented its 2018 festival slate today. The slate of 69 official selections and 7 spotlight selections represent inclusion beyond ethnicity. The Bushwick Film Festival (BFF) has announced the full program for their 11th annual run. This year's Opening Night will be sponsored by Spectrum and kicks off on Wednesday,October 10th with a Red Carpet Reception and screening at House of Yes. The festivities will continue through Sunday,October 14th, with 40+ events ranging from feature and short film screenings to special events, parties and panels. The festival will also premiere 5 short documentaries created by 15 young storytellers from Bushwick who participated in Bushwick Stories; BFF's free summer filmmaking workshop sponsored by community partner B&H Photo and Canon. I was lucky to get so much of Barry Doss' time. He is resident Costume Designer for Dance at Sam Houston State University and Stages Repertory Theatre's upcoming production of MARIE ANTOINETTE. When I called, he was in his workshop in Huntsville patterning and cutting. Fresh off Broadway, by way of Fort Worth, Texas, he came home to Houston last spring - February to be exact - and immediately got to work on the anachronistic beauty that is MARIE ANTOINETTE.

An overflow audience for the Victoria Shaw concert got a surprise as Victoria called up two of her friends who were in the audience……..Desmond Child, and then Kristin Chenoweth each sang a number. Even Jim Caruso who has hosted every famous person on the planet whipped out his cell phone camera for this one.

The soap returned to Dallas with the premiere of 'GCB,' SUNDAY, MARCH 4 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Multi-platinum Country music star Lorrie Morgan has been cast in the Broadway-bound production of the hit movie PURE COUNTRY, producers Randall L. Wreghitt, Chris Presley and Ellen Rusconi announced today. Morgan joins fellow Country music star Joe Nichols to headline the new musical that is expected to open on Broadway in early 2010. As previously announced, Nichols takes on the role of ?Rusty' [?Dusty' in the movie], which was made famous in the film by George Strait. Morgan now joins him to play the role of ?Lula,' Rusty's ruthless manager, which was created on film by Lesley Anne Warren.

To say that last week's American Idol elimination was a shocker is the understatement of the century.
