When Alvin Ailey and a small group of African-American modern dancers first took the stage in 1958, appearing at New York City's 92nd Street Y, the engagement was for one night only—but it turned out to be the start of a new era in the performing arts. Mr. Ailey became one of the groundbreaking greats in African American history, while the work of his Company grew beyond the limits of the stage to encompass education at all levels, community outreach and cultural diplomacy. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater now embodies six decades of achievement, celebrating the human spirit with performances that unite and inspire all.

Interrobang Theatre Project is pleased to launch its ninth season, exploring "identity/crisis" with THE GOAT, OR WHO IS SYLVIA?, Edward Albee's provocative portrait of a marriage in flux. Directed by Co-Artistic Director James Yost*, THE GOAT will play September 7 - October 6, 2018 at ITP's new resident home, Rivendell Theatre, 5779 N. Ridge Ave. in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood.

Director Michael Grandage is reviving Red by John Logan, it opens at the Wyndham Theatre on the 15th of May and it sees Alfred Molina reprising his role as Mark Rothko and How To Get Away With Murder star Alfred Enoch as his assistant Ken. Stage Door Theatre presents the musical Saturday Night Fever featuring music and lyrics by the Bee Gees, and a book by Nan Knighton (in collaboration with Arlene Phillips, Paul Nicholas, and Robert Stigwood). The musical is based on both Nik Cohn's 1975 New York Magazine article 'Tribal Rites of the New Saturday Night', and the block-buster film that rocketed John Travolta to fame it inspired in 1977, Saturday Night Fever.
