Bringing together some of today's most remarkable ballet talents, Daniel Ulbricht's Stars of American Ballet returns to Jacob's Pillow, appearing in the Ted Shawn Theatre August 22-26. A principal dancer with New York City Ballet since 2007, Ulbricht is lauded as "one of the best male ballet dancers in New York" (Dance Magazine). As Artistic Director, curator, and performer, Ulbricht brings a unique vision and perspective to performance. With a cast highlighting 14 powerhouse dancers of New York City Ballet, this collective celebrates the legacy of choreographic legend Jerome Robbins with a program of his masterpieces on the occasion of his centennial, augmented by two Robbins-related PillowTalks.

When Alvin Ailey and a small group of African-American modern dancers first took the stage in 1958, appearing at New York City's 92nd Street Y, the engagement was for one night only—but it turned out to be the start of a new era in the performing arts. Mr. Ailey became one of the groundbreaking greats in African American history, while the work of his Company grew beyond the limits of the stage to encompass education at all levels, community outreach and cultural diplomacy. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater now embodies six decades of achievement, celebrating the human spirit with performances that unite and inspire all.

Interrobang Theatre Project is pleased to launch its ninth season, exploring "identity/crisis" with THE GOAT, OR WHO IS SYLVIA?, Edward Albee's provocative portrait of a marriage in flux. Director Michael Grandage is reviving Red by John Logan, it opens at the Wyndham Theatre on the 15th of May and it sees Alfred Molina reprising his role as Mark Rothko and How To Get Away With Murder star Alfred Enoch as his assistant Ken. We were recently invited to snoop around the rehearsal room while Grandage disclosed his relationship with the show and why it's crucial to bring it to the stage now more than ever.
