COLORED PEOPLE'S TIME: A HISTORY PLAY, written by Leslie Lee and directed by Ben Guillory, will open on April 18, 2026, at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. The play explores the resilience and triumphs of Black Americans post-Civil War.

From May 16 to 27, The Negro Ensemble Company, Inc. will present the world premiere production of 'Hercules Didn't Wade in the Water' by Michael A Jones.  The play is winner of the troupe's 2017 Emerging Playwrights Competition.  Called a 'drama with comedy,' it is a story of displacement of Black families and the forces that lead to it in modern America.  Performances are at Theatre 80 St. Marks, 80 St. Marks Place.

The 30th Annual Doing Art Together Benefit - emceed by Emmy award winning NBC 4 NY traffic reporter Lauren Scala - will take place in New York City on March 30th at the Mandarin Oriental. This year's honorees are iconic actor Tony Danza, along with Michael Marrale who is a Managing Director and Head of Research, Sales & Trading at ITG (Investment Technology Group, Inc.). "I am thrilled to be honored by the DAT organization at the gala this year. I have been a supporter of DAT and what they have been doing in NYC.
