Roundabout Theatre Company in association with Don Gregory, announced that Jim Parsons (Elwood P. Dowd), Jessica Hecht (Veta Louise Simmons) and Charles Kimbrough (William R. Chumley, M.D.) starring in a new Broadway production of the Pulitzer Prize winning comedy Harvey by Mary Chase and directed by Scott Ellis.

In this latest revival of "Richard," now playing at San Francisco's Curran Theater, director Sam Mendes and Kevin Spacey do everything in their power to make sure that we do see. As a result, Richard III is a gripping, intense tour de force and hits troublingly close to home in these times of crime and corruption on Wall Street and around the world.

BAM has just announced its full 2012 line-up, according to the NY Times, which is set to include the previously reported RICHARD III led by Kevin Spacey. Also included in the winter/spring season are Jonathan Bates' BEING SHAKESPEARE, starring starring Simon Callow; Harold Pinter's THE CARETAKER, starring Jonathan Pryce; John Ford's TIS PITY SHE'S A WHORE; and Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS.

The story of Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb has been written about and filmed on a few separate occasions, most notably with Alfred Hitchcock's version of Patrick Hamilton's play, Rope (shot in single film reel length takes as an added novelty), and with Meyer Levin's more fictionalized account Compulsion, which was also made into a noteworthy movie. Of course, there were many others that co-opted the ideas present in their terrible tale, but playwright/composer Stephen Dolginoff's THRILL ME: THE LEOPOLD AND LOEB STORY, just may be the most potent, presenting their saga as a 'pocket musical' that's harrowing, haunting and disturbing all at the same time.

On June 29, 2011, The Bridge Project opened Richard III starring The Old Vic Artistic Director Kevin Spacey at The Old Vic in London. The production will embark on an international tour including the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Spain's Centro Niemeyer, Hong Kong Arts Festival, and Singapore Repertory Theatre, arriving at BAM's Harvey Theater in New York in January 2012. Laurence Luckinbill Presents Clarence Darrow Tonight!

Laurence Luckinbill, award-winning actor and Abingdon Theatre Company Honorary Board Member, will read his one-person show CLARENCE DARROW TONIGHT! at the June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street) on June 19 at 7:00pm; all tickets are $25 and include a wine reception following the reading.

The Theater Company of Lafayette (TCL) is turning a corner of Old Town Lafayette into 1920s Hillsboro, Tennessee for its production of the classic courtroom drama, Inherit the Wind, running April 29 - May 21 at the historic Mary Miller Theater with audience involvement.

The full company is announced for the final season of The Bridge Project featuring Kevin Spacey, artistic director of The Old Vic, in the title role of Richard III. The Boulevard Theatre, located at 2252 South Kinnickinnic, closes its 25th anniversary season with 'TWO 2 GO,' a double-bill of two rarely staged one-act plays, including celebrated playwright George Bernard Shaw's delightful marital romp A VILLAGE WOOING and noted playwright Thornton Wilder's soulful comedy PULLMAN CAR HIAWATHA. These rarely produced works both deal with travel, romance, love and 'transition' and will play from Wednesday, April 20, 2011 through Sunday, May 27, 2011.
