Artistic Director Conrad Lynch today announces the ensemble for the Theatre by the Lake's Summer Season - the first time the theatre has featured two-companies. They will perform over 5 productions in rep - After the Dance, As You Like It, Miss Julie, Handbagged and Remarkable Invisible - in both the theatre's spaces.

A private memorial service for Gordon Davidson, a longtime friend of The Public Theater and former Artistic Director of the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles for 38 years, will be held at The Public on Sunday, February 12. The Public Theater will also dim the lights on Sunday at approximately 6:00 p.m. in honor of Davidson and his enormous contributions to the American Theater.

The upcoming 27th annual The Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival will present movies from around the world, opening with ON THE MAP, the true story of Israel's 1977 basketball team, the first to ever bring the coveted European Cup to Israel. Film director Dani Menkin and basketball legend Tal Brody will attend and participate in a post-film discussion at the January 19 screening at the Kravis Center's Cohen Pavilion.

Center Theatre Group will hold a memorial in honor of its Founding Artistic Director, Gordon Davidson, on Monday, January 9, 2017, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Ahmanson Theatre. The theatre will open at 7 p.m. The memorial will not be a ticketed event and will be open to the public. Additional details will be released at a later date.

On March 18, 2017, the Colburn School will honor alumna Anne Akiko Meyers at Taste of Colburn, an annual benefit event held on the school's Grand Avenue campus to support scholarship funds for the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts. Ms. Meyers will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award. In recognition of their philanthropy and contributions to the Colburn School community, Alice and Joe Coulombe will be recognized as civic honorees.

Tickets are now on sale for American Composers Orchestra's (ACO) 40th Anniversary Season, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel and Music Director George Manahan. This season includes eight world premieres by a diverse set of composers performed by ACO at Carnegie Hall and Symphony Space, and continues the orchestra's commitment to serve as a catalyst for the creation of new orchestral music, providing unprecedented opportunities for American composers to create new work and for audiences to discover it. Founded in 1977, ACO remains the only orchestra in the world dedicated exclusively to the creation, performance, preservation, and promulgation of music by American composers. To date, ACO has performed music by 800 American composers, including 350 world premieres and newly commissioned works. ACO takes its commitment to fostering new work beyond the stage in its annual Underwood New Music Readings for emerging composers, now in its 26th year in New York, and through its program EarShot, the National Orchestra Composition Discovery Network, which brings the Readings experience to orchestras across the country in partnership with American Composers Forum, the League of American Orchestras, and New Music USA.
