LA Stage Alliance Nominated Actress and New Times Winner, Best Actress Susan Claassen stars in the Bay Area premiere of "A Conversation With Edith Head" at Pear Theatre from December 7 through 16. The internationally acclaimed show, based on EDITH HEAD'S HOLLYWOOD by Edith Head and Paddy Calistro, is a feast of delicious behind-the-scenes stories about Hollywood's greatest stars that provide an intimate portrait of Hollywood's legendary costume designer. "A Conversation With Edith Head" previews on December 6, with press and Opening Night on Friday, December 7 (followed by a champagne gala). The show runs Thursdays through Sundays through December 16. All performances are held at the Pear Theatre, 1110 La Avenida St., Mountain View. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) and the entire Broadway community mourn the loss of Tony Award-winning writer Joe Masteroff, who passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at age 98. Roundabout will celebrate Masteroff's memory and longstanding history with the company by dimming the lights of the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street), Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street), and the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street) on Wednesday, October 17 at 5:45pm for one minute.

Linda Thompson's career began in the much beloved late '60s/early '70s British folk-rock scene, when she went by the name Linda Peters. At first, she was mostly a session singer and a part of a short-lived duo with Paul McNeill with whom she released two singles, in 1968 and 1969. McNeill happened to be friends with Sandy Denny, and soon so was Linda. She became one of the “supergroup” of musician friends related to Fairport Convention for the 1972 The Bunch album, a side project of sorts that highlighted rock hits of the '50s. The album's single featured Linda and Sandy covering the Everly Brothers' “When Will I Be Loved.” Also in 1972 Linda married Richard Thompson; she and Sandy can be found in the credits for his solo debut, Henry the Human Fly. Beginning in 1974, albums started appearing by Richard & Linda Thompson, winding up with 1982's classic Shoot Out the Lights — which also signaled the end of their marriage.

About To Break is written and performed by Hill and directed and developed with Tony Award-winning lyricist, writer, and director Scott Wittman. Renowned as a comic host around the world, this new show is a departure, putting Hill center stage in the first major dedicated solo show of his long, storied career. Musical direction is by Paul Leschen with original music by Hill with Wittman, Marc Shaiman, Kyle Forrester, Eric Kornfeld, Jesse Elder, and Leschen.

Husband-and-wife duo John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey make their annual fall pilgrimage to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, American Stories, November 6-17. The New York Times recently described John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey as "the supreme nightclub act of our time." A world-renowned guitarist and singer, John Pizzarelli has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years and has established himself as one of the prime contemporary interpreters of the Great American Songbook. Jessica Molaskey is a veteran of a dozen Broadway shows including the revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George, which was nominated for nine Tony Awards. TIME has raved, "Sophisticated, jazzy and engaging, the Astaire-Rodgers of the cabaret world are at the top of their game."

The Broadway community mourns the loss Tony Award® winner Carole Shelley, who passed away on Friday, August 31 at age 79.
