Touring the UK and seen at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, this musical follows passionate, impulsive Buddy on his struggle to break free of country music and make his name as a rock and roll star, concluding with his early death in a plane crash - the day the music died.

BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY tells the enduring tale of the musical icon's meteoric rise to fame and his final legendary performance at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, before his tragic and untimely death at the age of 22. In 18 short months the Texas-born boy revolutionized the face of contemporary music influencing everyone from The Beatles to Bruce Springsteen.

Due to phenomenal demand for tickets and with more dates still to be added Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story has announced it will play at least an additional 23 theatres in 2017, extending the autumn 2016 tour which opens at Harlow Playhouse on Wednesday 31 August and arrives at the King's in Glasgow from Tuesday-Saturday 8 April.

This new play for the '99%' immortalizes Italian-American Ferdinand Pecora's valiant effort to expose the malignant and deceptive practices of Wall Street's most elite financiers and bankers including JP Morgan Jr., based on actual transcripts from the 1933 United States Senate Banking Committee hearings to determine the root causes of the 1929 stock market crash. Robyn Hitchcock (Robyn Hitchcock and The Egyptians) broke into the Neo-psychedelia Rock scene when his band, The Soft Boys, released their first album, A Can of Bees, in 1979. Since then, Robyn has released more than twenty albums.  He is one of England's most enduring contemporary singer-songwriters and live performers. A surrealist poet, talented guitarist, cult artist and musician's musician, Robyn Hitchcock is among alternative rock's father figures and is the closest thing the genre has to a Bob Dylan, who is, coincidentally, his biggest musical inspiration.
