This week's Broadway Series production ushers in the holiday season with the stage adaptation of the 1983 movie, A Christmas Story. It took almost three decades for the musical to come into being, hitting Broadway November 2012. The perennial television favorite is a nostalgic stroll through small-town northern Indiana circa 1940. And a new tradition is developing with recent years' seasonal tours of A Christmas Story The Musical.

As part of its Live Feed creative residency program, New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of DANCENOISE; Lock 'em Up!, a new full evening length work marking the 35th year of creative collaboration between the legendary NYC performance staples and Bessie Award winners Anne Iobst and Lucy Sexton. Since 1983 the team has created across genre and performed across venues, including nightclubs, experimental black boxes, theaters and museums. In response to the current political climate, the enthralling duo takes the audience captive, delving into their experience of living, resisting, and trying to hang on to a shared humanity in their signature no-holds-barred feminist stage show escapade.

The Torrington Symphony Orchestra, with chorus, will present "A HOLIDAY FESTIVAL," today, December 1 at 7:30 pm in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. Under the direction of conductor Maurice Steinberg, the concert will feature The Hallelujah Chorus, selections from The Nutcracker, Leroy Anderson, The Transiberian Orchestra and other seasonal favorites!

A prolific and versatile filmmaker who worked across a wide range of genres throughout his long career, Umetsugu Inoue(1923-2010) made his mark on Japanese cinema in the 1950s with a series of highly entertaining, genre-blending musical films that captured the explosive energy of Japan's jazz-fueled youth culture.

The Warner Theatre will be hosting a very special holiday fundraiser, PAWS & CLAUS, to benefit the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education! The Warner Theatre is once again kicking off the holiday season by inviting the community to enjoy several films on our big screen for our 6th Annual Holiday Movie Event today, November 24. Free popcorn will be provided all day, compliments of Elevator Service Company.

Westport Community Theatre is currently producing The Price, by Arthur Miller. Performances take place from November 23rd through December 9th todays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays, with a Thursday performance on November 29th at 8:00 p.m. John Atkin directs the play, which is produced by Sam Mink and Rich Mancini.

Steve Katz, founding member of legendary bands Blood, Sweat & Tears and The Blues Project will be at the Warner's Studio Theatre on Friday, April 26 at 8 pm for an evening of stories and songs.

The Warner Stage Company will present A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER on the Main Stage February 2-10, 2019. A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder is the knock-'em-dead, uproarious hit and the most-nominated show of the 2014 season. With ten Tony nominations and four wins, including Best Musical, Book, Direction and Costumes, it also earned seven Drama Desk Awards (including Best Musical), four Outer Critics Circle Awards (including Best Musical) and one Drama League Award (Best Musical). New York Stage and Film is thrilled to announce that its annual Winter Gala will honor playwright and Emmy award-winning actress Patricia Wettig (F2M, 'Brothers and Sisters,' 'thirtysomething') and Executive Producer/director/actor Ken Olin ('This Is Us,' 'Alias,' 'Brothers & Sisters,' 'thirtysomething'), and, in recognition for her years of dedication to New York Stage and Film, Artistic Director Johanna Pfaelzer, who is stepping down from her post at the end of the 2019 Powerhouse Summer Season.

Jim Messina's legacy spans five decades and three acclaimed rock super groups: Loggins & Messina, Buffalo Springfield, and Poco. And he's had a vibrant solo career, plus a dizzying array of producing and engineering credits for such luminaries as The Doors, Joni Mitchell, and Herb Alpert. Performing with his band in Folsom, the concert will include songs we all know and love, from across his storied career. The Warner Theatre and Two Roads Brewing Co. will present "The Road to Road Jam: A Battle of Jam Bands," in the Warner's Studio Theatre today, November 2 from 7-11 pm. Tickets are $15 and you must be 21 to enter the event. Doors will open at 6 pm; a variety of Two Roads beers will be available for purchase. The winning band will play at the Annual Road Jam Music Festival, as well as win a cash prize, tickets for the Jam Fest, swag bags and beer.

Antaeus Theatre Company opens its 2018-19 season with an epic drama about a Southern family in crisis directed by Cameron Watson (award-winning Antaeus productions of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Picnic, Top Girls). Kristin Couture, John DeMita, Judy Louise Johnson, Mike McShane, Rob Nagle, Calvin Picou, Deborah Puette, Jocelyn Towne, Timothy Adam Venable and William L. Warren star in The Little Foxes by Lillian Hellman, opening Oct. 25 at the Kiki & David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Glendale, where performances will continue through Dec. 10. Low-priced previews begin Oct. 18.
