This week's Broadway Series production ushers in the holiday season with the stage adaptation of the 1983 movie, A Christmas Story. It took almost three decades for the musical to come into being, hitting Broadway November 2012. The perennial television favorite is a nostalgic stroll through small-town northern Indiana circa 1940. And a new tradition is developing with recent years' seasonal tours of A Christmas Story The Musical.

As part of its Live Feed creative residency program, New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of DANCENOISE; Lock 'em Up!, a new full evening length work marking the 35th year of creative collaboration between the legendary NYC performance staples and Bessie Award winners Anne Iobst and Lucy Sexton. Since 1983 the team has created across genre and performed across venues, including nightclubs, experimental black boxes, theaters and museums. In response to the current political climate, the enthralling duo takes the audience captive, delving into their experience of living, resisting, and trying to hang on to a shared humanity in their signature no-holds-barred feminist stage show escapade.

The Torrington Symphony Orchestra, with chorus, will present "A HOLIDAY FESTIVAL," today, December 1 at 7:30 pm in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. Under the direction of conductor Maurice Steinberg, the concert will feature The Hallelujah Chorus, selections from The Nutcracker, Leroy Anderson, The Transiberian Orchestra and other seasonal favorites!

Performances take place from November 23rd through December 9th todays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays, with a Thursday performance on November 29th at 8:00 p.m. John Atkin directs the play, which is produced by Sam Mink and Rich Mancini.
