The Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center opens its first summer season with the Los Angeles premiere of the musical Daddy Long Legs. From John Caird, the Tony and Olivier Award-Winning director of Les Misérables and Nicholas Nickleby, and the creators of Jane Eyre.

Beginning August 13, Artists Repertory Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company will bring a world-class production of EuGene O'Neill's gut-wrenching autobiographical play Long Day's Journey Into Night to Portland. So close to his own life, Long Day's Journey Into Night is a story O'Neill did not want shared until 25 years after his death.

San Jose Stage Company and Broadway San Jose are pleased to announce their community partnership to send the local winners for Outstanding Performance by an Actress and Actor in a Musical to participate in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards 2010 JIMMY Awards and compete for a four year academic scholarship to New York University.

Phoenix artists and educators go into these schools and partner with teachers to mentor fourth graders considered "at risk of failure in the classroom" by engaging them to create plays based on core curriculum.
