Pentabus has announced their 2023 Summer/Autumn Season which features one new commission, one new digital theatre online release, four new Associate Artists and the return of Pentabus Young Writers live production with seven new brilliant plays.

Catapult Opera  has commissioned a new opera digital short entitled SWANN from multi-hyphenate artist, Tamar-kali. The piece features composition and a concept by Tamar-kali, a libretto by Carl Hancock Rux, and direction from James Blaszko.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced a final extension for the world premiere musical Days of Wine and Roses. Adapted from the 1962 film and original 1958 teleplay, the new musical features a book by Tony Award nominee Craig Lucas, music & lyrics by Tony Award winner Adam Guettel, and direction by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just  announced Tony & Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly and Tony & SAG Award winner Liev Schreiber will star in the new Broadway production of John Patrick Shanley’s Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize-winning play Doubt: A Parable, with direction by Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis.

Barry Brisco’s Love is a Battlefield returns to the Hollywood Fringe Festival after nine years opening June 10, 2023, at the Limbic Arthouse. Barry directs his based-on-real-life script with the cast of Roy Fowler, Ian James, Johnny Manibusan, Michael C. Morello, Navene Shata, Jamarr Tillman and Arielle Thomas.

Houston Ballet is presenting DIVERGENCE, a triple bill program that includes Justin Peck’s world premiere UNDER THE FOLDING SKY; Aszure Barton’s ANGULAR MOMENTUM; and Stanton Welch's DIVERGENCE. The next production to take The Actors' Gang stage is The Darkness: Goddess Revealed, written and performed by Nick Gillie and directed by Dwain Perry. Presented as a special co-production in partnership with Black University and Okan Entertainment, the story is told through the perspective of three vastly different characters (played by Gillie) who enter the afterlife and meet sacred female beings called The We. But have they gathered to hear the new arrivals’ life stories or have a more spiritual lesson in mind? I was curious to hear about the genesis of the play, more about the characters, the purpose of The We in the storyline, and Nick Gille’s personal involvement with Black University.

Above & Beyond's Paavo Siljamäki follows up the release of his debut album P.O.S. Deeper Tales with a new single “It’s Me,” a collaboration with Spencer Browne and Senegalese-American artist Marieme. The culmination of a personal journey, the album sees Paavo reconnect with club culture and rediscover himself on this solo release.

Starcatcher is written and recorded by the band—lead singer Josh Kizska, guitarist Jake Kizska, bassist/keyboardist Sam Kizska and drummer Danny Wagner—alongside Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile). Recorded at the legendary RCA Studios in Nashville the band captured the energy of their renowned live performances.
