On Monday, the historic Emerson Colonial Theatre teased that they would be making their next pre-Broadway production announcement later this week. The teaser video posted on their social media channels indicates that the show will be a revival of a comedy, and will feature a pair of stars that haven't been seen on stage together for more than 20 years. The Colonial's video also references that the play was written by one of the most prolific playwrights of the 20th Century. Check out the video here.

The filming of Young Wallander has just begun - the new Netflix original series based on Henning Mankell's best-selling Kurt Wallander novels. The cast includes Adam Pålsson (Kurt Wallander), Richard Dillane (Superintendent Hemberg), Leanne Best (Frida Rask), Ellise Chappell (Mona) and Yasen Atour (Reza). The series is created by Yellow Bird UK, a Banijay Group company, and the producer of the Swedish Wallander franchise at TV4 as well as the successful BBC series Wallander from 2008.

In 1943, during the Second World War, top Hollywood director William Wyler went to Europe to document the air war in progress. Wyler and his crew flew actual combat missions on B-17s in extremely dangerous conditions. Incredibly, the entirety of the raw color footage Wyler and his team shot for the documentary 'The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress' was recently discovered in the vaults of the National Archives. After a meticulous frame-by-frame restoration, director Erik Nelson ('Dreams with Sharp Teeth,' 'A Gray State') has constructed a compelling new documentary out of the material.

BAM's popular, interactive arts showcase Teknopolis returns for its fourth year with an ambitious new program designed to inspire creativity, connect with the future, and embolden a renewed sense of play for all ages. Teknopolis offers the latest in technology-fueled art and participatory environments. It features work by leading artists and technologists who are pushing the artistic boundaries of VR, AR, mixed reality (MR), 360° films, and sensor-based technology and displays, and whose work sits at the crossroads of art, film, music, and technology. This year, the three-week-long showcase includes 20 highly interactive installations and six 360° films with artists from 12 different countries, presenting their work over five levels of the BAM Fisher building, from February 22 to March 8. Many of the exhibitions allow participants to interact with the installations directly.

The production, which runs in the historic Roman town from 4 March to 18 April 2020, will star James Dinsmore (Great Expectations) as Edgar T Chesterfield, Liam Horrigan (The Play That Goes Wrong) as Daniel Veil, Devarnie Lothian (Grandpa's Great Escape) as Omar Lord and Bronte Tadman (A Christmas Carol) as Crystal Singer.

After a year of producing at venues around DC, Theater J returns to a beautifully renovated Aaron and Cecile Goldman Theater at the Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center with the passionate new musical Love Sick, the first show of its 19/20 season. Love Sick is written and adapted by Israeli actress/writer Ofra Daniel, with music by Daniel and Lior Ben-Hur. It is directed by Olivier and Tony Award nominee Christopher Renshaw, music directed by celebrated Palestinian musician Ali Paris, who also performs, and choreographed by Matt Cole. Not only did this Korean original musical production have continuous sold-out shows, but it also maintained an average of 98% of audience attendance rate throughout the entire run. The grand ending of their success resulted in receiving three awards, including Best Musical in the 2nd Annual Korea Musical Awards. So, it was no surprise that the show has come back for a second run this year.
