The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS welcomed nationally syndicated radio star Mike Gallagher to the Shubert Theatre for a special one week only cameo appearance last night, September 6. Gallagher will perform through Sunday September 11, 2011. In MEMPHIS, Mike Gallagher will open the show with an expanded cameo part written by book writer Joe DiPietro. Cortland Repertory Theatre starts their celebratory 40th Anniversary 'Ruby Jubilee' season at the Little York Pavilion with 'Rumors', a hysterical farce penned by America's Master of Comedy, Neil Simon. Simon is best known for his cannon of wildly successful comedies, and is the only playwright in history to have four shows running on Broadway at the same time: 'The Odd Couple', 'Barefoot in the Park', 'The Star Spangled Girl' and the musical 'Sweet Charity'. He has been nominated 17 times for the Tony Award, has won 3, and also won the Pulitzer Prize for his semi-autobiographical comedy/drama 'Lost in Yonkers'. 'Rumors' is the only true farce that he has added to his extensive body of work.

The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS has announced a partnership with The Great Atlantic Pacific & Tea Company (A&P) to raise money for New York-area Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Beginning July 4, 2011, customers at all A&P, Pathmark, Food Emporium, Waldbaum's, Food Basics, Super Fresh and Best Cellars stores will be asked to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at the register.

The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS welcomed legendary radio personality and author, 'Cousin Brucie' Morrow to the Shubert theatre for a special one week only cameo appearance last night, May 3, 2011. He will play in the show through Sunday May 8, 2011. This event coincides with the release of Cousin Brucie's paperback edition, Rock & Roll...And the Beat Goes On; which is a tribute to the great musicians of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Autographed copies of the book are available at the theatre during his show appearances.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the U.S. premiere of Alan Ayckbourn's new comedy, Life of Riley. Directed by Richard Seer, Life of Riley will run in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of The Old Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, April 30 - June 5. Preview performances run April 30 - May 4. Last night, September 23, the stars of Memphis were honored with a Wall of Fame painting at Tony di Napoli's restaurant to kick off the new Broadway season and celebrate the cast's one year anniversary on Broadway. The painting was created by Dan May. Valerie Smaldone produced and emceed the event, which was hosted by Tony di Napoli's Bruce Dimpflmaier.
