The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) continues its 2010/11 Season with the A.R.T./MXAT Institute's production of ALICE vs. WONDERLAND, based on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, remixed by Brendan Shea and directed by János Szász. Set design is by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by David Israel Reynoso, lighting design by Maruti Evans, and sound design by Clive Goodwin.

Jefferson Performing Arts Society is holding auditions for children, ages 7 to 12, on Saturday, September 11th for their upcoming production of HOW TO EAT LIKE A CHILD. The auditions begin at 9AM at Teatro Wego! Theatre (177 Sala Avenue in Westwego). Auditions are by appointment only which may be made by calling 504-885-2000 ext. 202.

NICHOLAS, written by Tony Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson (The Seafarer, The Weir), directed by Scott Paulin (Getting Frankie Married, The Roads to Home) and performed by Michael McGee. ST. NICHOLAS will open on Friday, June 18 at 8pm and will run for six weeks through Sunday, July 25th (there will be no performances the Fourth of July weekend) at the SFS Theatre, 5636 Melrose Ave.

Nickelodeon, the number one producer of television animation in the world, has greenlit a new series from the creators of the hit animated TV show Avatar: The Last Airbender, it was announced today by Brown Johnson, President, Animation, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group. The new series The Legend of Korra (working title), from creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2011, continuing the evolution of the animated franchise and its mythology. The original series was the inspiration for the Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies live-action epic adventure, The Last Airbender, which has already grossed more than $115 million at the box office to date.
