Holmes in Talks to Join Pacino & Sandler in 'Jack and Jill' Flick

By: Aug. 25, 2010

The Hollywood Reporter reveals this morning that Katie Holmes is in negotiations to join Al Pacino and Adam Sandler in Jack and Jill, a comedy produced by Sandler and partner Jack Giarraputo under their Happy Madison production banner, alongside Todd Garner. Dennis Dugan directs.

In the film, Sandler doubles as family man Jack and Jack's twin sister who overstays her welcome at a Thanksgiving dinner.  Holmes would play Jack's wife, while Pacino will appear as himself.

Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut in the 2008-2009 season in All My Sons. She was most recently on screen in Mad Money, Batman Begins, and appears in The Romantics, The Son of No One and the upcoming Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.  Al Pacino will next be seen on Broadway this fall as Shylock in the Merchant of Venice when the Public's production transfers to the Great White Way. He has won Tony Awards for Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? and The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel. A film icon, Pacino is best known for his work in The Godfather films, Scarface, Scent Of A Woman and more.
