The new musical comedy Something Rotten!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, officially opens on Broadway tonight, April 22, 2015 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). Cameron Mackintosh and Michael Harrison have announced the Cameron Mackintosh and Chichester Festival Theatre smash hit production of the musical "BARNUM" starring Brian Conley as 'PT Barnum' and Linzi Hateley as 'Chairy' is coming to the King's Theatre Glasgow from Tuesday 31 March until Saturday 4 April 2015.

Happy Birthday Michael Crawford! In 1981, Crawford starred in the Original London production of Cy Coleman's Barnum (1981) as the illustrious American showman P. T. Barnum. He is best known for starring opposite Sarah Brightman in the original cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera as the title character. In 1986, Crawford began his performance in London, continuing on to Broadway in 1988, and then Los Angeles a year later, in 1989. He played the role for 2½ years and over 1,300 performances, winning an Olivier Award (Best Actor in a Musical) and a Tony Award (Best Performance By An Actor in a Lead Role, Musical). Beginning in February 2011, Crawford has played the role of the Wizard in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's musical version of The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium.

Cameron Macintosh and Chichester Festival Theatre's production of Barnum debuted at the Curve Theatre, Leicester last night before embarking on a National Tour. The show was seen by nearly 70,000 people during its run in Chichester last year and was critically acclaimed by many throughout its time there. Way prior to this, the production opened on Broadway back in 1980 where it picked up three Tony Awards and a Drama Desk Award. Following this, Barnum opened in the West End in 1981 starring Michael Crawford; a role which he won an Olivier for.

Chichester Festival Theatre will unveil its temporary state-of-the-art auditorium, Theatre in the Park, with a major new production of the musical Barnum, presented in association with Cameron Mackintosh. The production will be co-directed by Timothy Sheader, Artistic Director of the Open Air Theatre Regent's Park and Liam Steel, with rising Broadway star Christopher Fitzgerald in the title role, alongside the award-winning Tamsin Carroll as Barnum's wife, Chairy.

The June 10 show also marks the second anniversary of The Night After The Tonys, a tradition begun in 2012 by Ms. White and Upright Cabaret.
