Encompass New Opera Theatre held a gala to honor legendary Broadway performer BARBARA COOK and lyricist LEE ADAMS (Bye Bye Birdie, Golden Boy, Applause) with a star-studded musical salute on Sunday, October 25. BroadwayWorld has photos from the evening below!

Malcolm Gets (Tony Award nominee for Amour) and Ted Keegan (Star of Broadway's Phantom of the Opera) have joined the lineup for the Encompass New Opera Theatre (Nancy Rhodes, Artistic Director) gala to honor legendary Broadway performer BARBARA COOK and lyricist LEE ADAMS (Bye Bye Birdie, Golden Boy, Applause) with a star-studded musical salute on Sunday, October 25.

Barbara Cook's Spotlight series, in its ninth season at the Kennedy Center this year, features Terri White tonight, October 16, 2015; Randy Graff on October 30, 2015; Michele Lee on November 6, 2015; John Lloyd Young on November 20, 2015; and Frances Ruffelle on March 25, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Terrace Theater.

BroadwayWorld has just learned the lineup for Barbara Cook's Spotlight series, ready for its ninth season at the Kennedy Center this year. 

The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) announces Broadway and Cabaret legend Barbara Cook will appear at its annual Gala on Sat., May 31. Ms. Cook's highly anticipated performance will take place at 9 p.m. following an elegant dinner in the SOPAC Loft at 6 p.m., coupled with an online and live auction of unique and precious gifts and experiences. Families will join the celebration during the day with a Super-Hero workshop by Kidville at 10:30 a.m. and a free performance by fun and funky musician Bobby Beetcut at noon. Seating is available for the gala dinner and Ms. Cook's performance, or for the performance only. The gala is being presented in support of SOPAC's Arts Education and Programming.

Like WICKED was a prequel to the 'Wizard of Oz', PETER AND THE STARCATCHER is a prequel to J. M. Barrie's 'Peter Pan'.

Barbara Cook and the Los Angeles Philharmonic launch the 2012/13 Songbook Series at Walt Disney Concert Hall tonight, November 14 at 8:00 PM to celebrate the legendary Broadway lyric soprano's 85th birthday. For their first performance together at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Cook and the Los Angeles Philharmonic will explore the American songbook and timeless classics. The evening's performance also marks the first time the LA Phil performs a concert in the Songbook Series.

Barbara Cook returns to Carnegie Hall to celebrate her 85th birthday tonight, October 18 at 8:00 p.m. with a special performance in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage.

On September 25th, music legend Barbara Cook released an all new recording, Loverman, her latest from DRG Records. Loverman is a brilliant departure from Ms. Cook's traditional Broadway repertoire, featuring a large collection of jazz and standards. On October 18th, Ms. Cook will perform a concert at Carnegie Hall in celebration her 85th birthday with Ted Rosenthal and Lee Musiker and a few surprise guests.

On September 25th, music legend Barbara Cook releases an all new recording, Loverman, her latest from DRG Records. Barbara Cook in Concert is the latest in Reprise Theatre Company's tradition of presenting Broadway stars and legendary entertainers in concert, which have included Patti LuPone, Carol Burnett, Sutton Foster, Ben Vereen, Kristin Chenoweth, and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

Music & lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim, conceived & directed by James Lapine. Sondheim on Sondheim will begin previews on March 19th, 2010 and open officially April 22nd, 2010 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street). This will be a limited engagement through Sunday, June 13th, 2010.

In September 2005, Tony-winning Broadway legend Barbara Cook will release Tribute, a CD honoring Wally Harper and Bobby Short, as well as favorite composers such as Harold Arlen and Arthur Schwartz
