The Providence Performing Arts Center has announced that the finale performances of Next Stop BROADWAY on Friday, July 28 at 5P and Friday, August 4 at 5P will once again be open to the public. Admission will be FREE; tickets will not be required.

The new musical The Principle Wife will have its world premiere at the Covey Center for the Arts from July 7-31, 2023. With book and lyrics by Taylor Vaughn and Mark Greenhalgh, and music written by award-winning composer Jonathan Keith, this show shines a spotlight on a sensitive subject in a sincere, yet humorous way.

Your Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) kicks off Black History Month with a very special Philharmonics Series concert conducted by Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik. Rooted in Rochester: A Celebration of Black Composers takes place on Thursday, February 9 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, February 11 at 8 PM in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.

While the series' recurring cast includes Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, and more, guest stars have included Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, Joanna Gleason, Adrienne Warren, Jinkx Monsoon, Norm Lewis, Norbert Leo Butz, and more. Porchlight Music Theatre is continuing its 2022 - 2023 season with Porchlight Revisits I am a Camera, book by John Van Druten, directed by Nate Cohen+. Porchlight Revisits I am a Camera is presented for two performances only Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 9 at 1:30 p.m.

Reprising their roles from the run at the Young Vic are Raphael Bushay (Mike), Arthur Darvill (Curly McLain), James Patrick Davis (Will Parker), Stavros Demetraki (Ali Hakim), Greg Hicks (Andrew Carnes), Rebekah Hinds (Gertie Cummings), Anoushka Lucas (Laurey Williams), Marie-Astrid Mence (Lead Dancer), Liza Sadovy (Aunt Eller) and Patrick Vaill (Jud Fry).

Join Dick Whittington and his cat in this famous fable arriving to Wandsworth Civic Suite on December 10th. There are 19 great-value performances, matinee and evening between the 10th and the 22nd, as we journey to London Town with Dick and his cat on their quest for fame and fortune! 

This new production of Home, I'm Darling opens at the Theatre Royal Windsor on 25 January 2023, prior to the play's first extensive national tour. Leading the cast are BAFTA award winner Jessica Ransom (Doc Martin, Armstrong and Miller, Horrible Histories) as Judy, Diane Keen (Doctors, The Cuckoo Waltz) as Sylvia and Neil McDermott (Eastenders, The Royal) as Johnny, with further casting to be announced.

Goodspeed Musicals has released production photos for the blockbuster tap dancing extravaganza 42nd Street.  The toe-tapping crowd-pleaser runs from Sept. 16 – Nov. 6 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn.

The 25th anniversary celebration of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella will feature members of its all-star cast – Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander and Veanne Cox. Following the news special, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella for the first time on television in more than two decades.

ABC News Studios will air “Cinderella: The Reunion, A Special Edition of 20/20” featuring members of its all-star cast — Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander and Veanne Cox. Billy Porter, Todrick Hall, Debra Martin Chase, Neil Meron, and costumer Ellen Mirojnick will also make appearances.

Featuring audio from rarely heard interviews with Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II – each describing how they first joined forces –  the video can be viewed below! Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the musical event of the summer: Ragtime The Musical.

Long Island’s largest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre, will present the international hit  Footloose written by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, with music by Tom Snow and lyrics by Dean Pitchford. Footloose begins performances on July 14 in advance of its opening night on July 16 running through August 28, 2022.

Running July 1 through 16 at The Colonial Theatre, the audience will be transported to a bustling Irish pub with a stage full of incredibly talented actors singing and playing their own instruments. 

Berkshire Theatre Group and Kate Maguire have announced casting for shows in BTG’s Early Summer 2022 Season. The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and recipient of an NEA Grants for Arts Projects Award and more.

Nick Arnstein might get all of Fanny's love, but this Broadway season, the Tony Awards are all about Eddie Ryan. Jared Grimes makes his Broadway musical debut in the hit revival of Funny Girl- a performance for which he was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical.

MaMa is a new dance/multi-media production exploring the journey of pregnancy, birth and early motherhood, through Bharatanatyam dance, immersive visuals, and a blend of Celtic-Carnatic music.
