Juilliard's Drama Division announced the complete schedule for its 2010-2011 season of fully-staged productions featuring students in their fourth and final year of acting training at Juilliard. This season's plays include Lorraine Hansberry's A RAISIN IN THE SUN, directed by Jade King Carroll, October 20-24; David Auburn's PROOF, directed by Harris Yulin, November 11-15; and Chekhov's THE SEAGULL, directed by Richard Feldman, December 9-13.

Brooklyn-based theater company 31 Down's loud meditation on paranoia and premonition surrounding plane crashes, RED OVER RED, will premiere with a run at New York City's Incubator Arts Project July 22-August 7, 2010. 31 Down returns with their signature sonic destruction, creating a horror theater that is immersive, visceral and contemporary. Red Over Red follows four people working in and around the airline industry to explore distrust in one another on a personal level, and distrust in the unknown on a primal level. Featuring recurring crash nightmares, the work graphically dives into our renewed fears of flight post 911. Starring frequent Richard Foreman and Hal Hartley actor DJ Mendel, and Caitlin McDonough-Thayer, Ryan Holsopple and Risa Sarachan.

Set in Mississippi in 1974 (five years after Hurricane Camille), this sweet, sexy comedy follows the travails of the three Magrath sisters, who come together at the family home in Hazelhurst when the youngest Babe is charged with shooting her husband 'cause she didn't like his looks.'

Andrew Lloyd Webber was placed number three on the list, coming in at a net worth of £700 million, followed closely by Cameron Mackintosh at number four with £ 635 million. I met up with Hans in between his Matinee and Evening shows of "An Iliad" on Saturday. In the short time since he arrived here in 1993 to go to school at Cornish College of the Arts (where he graduated in 1996) this 39 year old from Detroit, Michigan has become one of the hot tickets in the Seattle theater scene. But beyond that, he's also a really great guy.

Rehearsals begin today, Monday, April 5 for the World Premiere production of PARADISE FOUND, a new musical under the combined direction of Theater legend and 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (the original productions of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Company, Follies, Evita) and 5-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Crazy For You, Show Boat, The Producers, Contact). This is their first collaboration since the landmark, Tony Award-winning revival of Show Boat. Following the New York rehearsal period, the production will open at London's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory with performances running May 19 through June 26.

Stephen Sondheim is widely acknowledged as the most innovative, most influential, and most important composer and lyricist in modern Broadway history.
