TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. signature Theatre’s SigSpace will present the first-ever installation from Quiara Alegría Hudes and Sean Ortiz’s Emancipated Stories project, designed by Yazmany Arboleda with Emmanuel Oni and featuring letter-writing sessions and pop-up performances produced in collaboration with The Fortune Society.

Signature Theatre’s SigSpace will reteam this June with Theatre For One to present six one-on-one, five-to-six minute theater experiences. Titled Déjà Vu (referencing a featured work by the same name), this iteration of Theatre For One revisits five selected works from the visionary and unconventional organization.

The Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off-Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals, today announced the winners of the 11th Annual Off-Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2021-2022 season.

Signature Theatre announced its 2022-2023 season—from Resident playwrights Quiara Alegría Hudes, Samuel D. Ten pianists have been chosen to advance to the Semifinals of Canada's Honens International Piano Competition. The pianists (aged 21 to 31) come from seven countries: Austria, Hungary, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine, and the United States.

The Library of Congress has acquired the manuscripts and papers of playwright and screenwriter Neil Simon, the most commercially successful American playwright of the 20th century.

Robert Icke’s (Animal Farm, The Wild Duck, Hamlet, Mary Stuart, Oresteia, 1984) sold- out, five-star Almeida Theatre production, The Doctor, will tour to Theatre Royal Brighton (5-10 September), Bath (13-17 September) and Richmond (19-24 September) before transferring to the Duke of York’s Theatre from 29 September – 11 December 2022.
