BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present renowned pianist and singer Billy Stritch and award-winning jazz vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli in the return of their special show “Mel and Ella Swing!” on Monday, June 5 at 7:00 PM.

The new single is her second for new label GIANT Music and the first from a new full-length studio album coming fall 2023. The video was directed by Griffin Olis (Nicki Minaj, The Aces, Ozuna) and the song was produced by K.Flay, Jason Suwito (Imagine Dragons, COIN, Sir Sly) and Brad Hale (Now Now). Billy Strings will continue his extensive headline tour through this fall including newly confirmed shows at Portland’s Moda Center (two nights), Seattle’s WAMU Theater, Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater (two nights), Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena, Pittsburgh’s Petersen Events Center (two nights), and more.

Jazz Detective, the label founded in 2022 by GRAMMY-nominated archival producer Zev Feldman, will release Blue Room: The 1979 VARA Studio Sessions in Holland, a superlative, previously unreleased set of studio performances recorded in Holland by legendary trumpeter Chet Baker, as a limited two-LP set on Record Store Day April 22.

Bad Victims, written and performed, by award-wining Joanna Pickering, and directed by Erica Gould (world premiers of Neil LaBute and Theresa Rebeck) confirms its cast and returns to stage at The Courtyard Theatre, London with three more special dates on April 26th, 27th and 28th.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Andris Nelsons, will return to Europe for the first time since 2018, with a nine-city, 12-concert tour to major music capitals in England, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, and France. Anne-Sophie Mutter and Jean-Yves Thibaudet—two of the world's most in-demand artists and frequent BSO collaborators for decades—will join the orchestra for performances throughout the tour. Boston Ballet has announced programming for the 2023–2024 season, which celebrates the evolution of the living artform of ballet.

Kicking off on August 1 in Pittsburgh, Rateliff and the band will perform at Minneapolis’ Surly Brewing Festival Field, Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion and Raleigh’s Red Hat Amphitheater as well as multiple dates at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Chicago’s The Salt Shed and Missoula’s Kettlehouse Amphitheater.

In celebration of their much anticipated forthcoming third studio album Starcatcher — due July 21—Grammy-winning rock band Greta Van Fleet are set to kick off their Starcatcher World Tour on July 24 in Nashville. The Starcatcher World Tour will include support from special guests Kaleo, Surf Curse, Black Honey and, in the UK and Ireland, Mt. Joy.

The Oratorio Society of New York, led by Music Director Kent Tritle, presents the 46th Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition Finals Concert at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 1:30pm. The Solo Competition was created in 1977 to encourage the art of oratorio singing and to give young singers an opportunity to advance their careers.
