Following the Dora-Nominated hit BLACK BOYS, SAGA COLLECTIF returns with Ho Ka Kei (Jeff Ho)'s IPHIGENIA AND THE FURIES (ON TAURIAN LAND), a vital new adaptation of the rarely performed IPHIGENIA AMONG THE TAURIANS by Euripides. The World Premiere production will be presented from January 6 to January 20, 2019 at Aki Studio (Opening Night January 10).

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces new leadership positions. Joining Artistic Director Heidi Stillman and Executive Director Rachel L. Fink to lead the theatre, the Board has elected Nancy Timmers, a prominent civic leader and philanthropist, as Board Chair and Richard Chapman, Member of Counsel at Clark Hill PLC, as Board President. Lookingglass has also appointed Hilary Odom as the company's new Director of Development.

SWEAT Offers A Compelling Portrait Of Pride And Survival At Cleveland Play House

Cleveland Play House (CPH) brings to life Lynn Nottage's complex story of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Rust Belt drama Sweat.  Set in Reading, PA, this relevant story offers audience members suspense through its intricate portrayal of characters battling to survive in a city crippled by economic stagnation. CPH Artistic Director Laura Kepley will direct. Previews begin on October 13th, with press opening on October 19th at the Outcalt Theatre in Playhouse Square. New Series MIT Performing Signals a Vibrant Performing Arts Series with MIT Performing

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) announces the new performing arts series MIT Performing, signaling a new destination in the performing arts scene in BostonCambridge. Curated by Professor Jay Scheib, the series launches with performance artist Adrienne Truscott's celebrated solo work THIS, Andrew Schneider's new production NERVOUSSYSTEM and Ayesha Jordan's one-woman sci-fi telenovela Shasta Geaux Pop, developed in collaboration with Charlotte Brathwaite, MIT Assistant Professor of Theater Arts. MIT Performing envisions an array of productions, lectures and new performance idioms throughout the year. Following on these three productions, internationally renowned solo performer Lisa Dwan will present her lecturedemonstration 'A Body of Beckett,' followed by a new theater work to be developed by director Jay Scheib with an international cast of collaborators.

Full Casting Announced For The National Theatre's Production Of NINE NIGHT At The Trafalgar Studios

The National Theatre have today announced the full cast for Nine Night, Natasha Gordon's critically acclaimed play which will transfer from the National Theatre to the Trafalgar Studios on 1 December 2018 (press night 6 December) in a co-production with Trafalgar Theatre Productions. Natasha Gordon will take the role of Lorraine in her debut play, for which she has recently been nominated for the Best Writer Award in The Stage newspaper's 'Debut Awards'. She is joined by Oliver Alvin-Wilson (Robert), Michelle Greenidge (Trudy), also nominated in the Stage Awards for Best West End Debut, Hattie Ladbury (Sophie), Rebekah Murrell (Anita) and Cecilia Noble (Aunt Maggie) who return to their celebrated NT roles, and Karl Collins (Uncle Vince) who completes the West End cast.

Taking these words to heart, NYU Skirball will present On Your Marx a *pay-what-you-think-it's-worth, two-week commemoration of the great philosopher Karl Marx's 200th birthday, featuring theater, dance and choral performances. Admission to all performances is free: however, audiences will receive an invoice detailing the cost of every element of the production (supply). They are then free to determine the worth of the production and donate accordingly (demand) thus enabling the artists to "earn money in order to live and write."

NST Associate Director Blanche McIntyre directs Lydia Bewley, best known for The Inbetweeners, Plebs and E4's comedy Drifters, Elizabeth Boag, Anna Fordham, Lisa Kerr, Anne Odeke and Alicia Mckenzie. The production, in association with Oxford Playhouse, sees some of the UK's most influential female voices, Wendy Cope, Jenny Eclair, Suhayla El-Bushra, Natalie Haynes, Shappi Khorsandi, Jess Phillips MP and Brona C Titley, come together to write this musical comedy based on the Greek classic, The Assemblywomen. The production opens on 13 September at NST City, with previews from 6 September and runs until 29 September. It will then run at Oxford Playhouse from 3 - 6 October.

Free For All, one of the capital's cherished annual traditions, will return this summer to Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), offering two weeks of free performances of the Company's 2016 production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Playing June 2-3, 2018, for four performances only, this unique theater experience will take place in the Guthrie lobbies in promenade style, which requires patrons to stand and walk during the performance.
