The House Theatre of Chicago continues their 2018 -2019 season with the beloved tale of Pinocchio at The Chopin Theatre upstairs theatre, 1543 W. Division, March 28 - May 19. This world premiere of the classic story inspired by the works of Carlo Collodi has been adapted for the stage by Company Members Joseph Steakley and Ben Lobpries. Florida Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce another extension in its 2019 Season, this time for Noel Coward's 'Hay Fever.' Originally slated to close on March 6, the farce will extend it's run to Saturday, March 9 due to overwhelming popular demand. Madison Lyric Stage, a professional theater company serving the Connecticut Shoreline, announced that its 2019 mainstage season will include: Carlisle Floyd's opera Of Mice and Men, based on the John Steinbeck classic, in May/June; the Stephen Sondheim fairy tale musical Into the Woods in July; and, for Halloween, Engelbert Humperdinck's enchanted opera Hansel and Gretel in October. Happy New Year to the Syracuse area theater community! We have a new year filled a variety of theatrical productions throughout the greater Syracuse area coming up! We are fortunate to live in an area that has so many talented actors, technicians, and directors as well as dedicated theater companies - not to mention supportive theatergoers. From the local theaters to the Equity tours that come through the area, we are lucky that Syracuse offers many opportunities to experience live theater. Having seen countless productions in this area since I was young and reviewed many shows for the past few years, I thought I would take a moment to share which productions I am most excited about in 2019!

The Orchestra Now (T?N) kicks off 2019 with a free concert led by resident conductor Zachary Schwartzman at Peter Norton Symphony Space on Sunday, January 27. The program features Ravel's arrangement of the ten musical illustrations of Viktor Hartmann's artwork that comprise Mussorgsky's well-known and powerful Pictures at an Exhibition in addition to Ravel's own ominous La valse. Other works include Russian composer Anatoly Lyadov's gentle and colorful fantasy, The Enchanted Lake, in addition to Stravinsky's lush and fantastical Firebird Suite.

Amplifying the spectacular diversity of its initial lineup, Disco Donnie Presents announces phase 2 of its inaugural Ubbi Dubbi, April 27 and 28, featuring a dynamic array of an additional 26 artists including Bear Grillz, Chris Lake, CID, Claptone, Drezo, Droeloe, Habstrakt, Jaenga, Lucati, Pax Impera, Steve Darko, Walker & Royce, and more. They will join phase 1 artists recently announced including, Boombox Cartel, Borgore, Galantis, Ganja White Night, Golf Clap, Illenium, Tchami, Zeds Dead concluding with over 50 artists on three stages under the stars on Panther Island in Fort Worth, Texas.

As we welcome in 2019 in Southwest Florida, we also welcome in a very full theatre season! From many classic, much-loved Broadway shows to some newer, unique breakout productions, this season has something for everyone. Though there are many, many productions happening this season, check out 9 of the shows (listed by date so you can easily fill your calendar) I know I'm looking forward to in 2019 below.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its spring 2019 season. Since 1984 the performing arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators.
