Douglas Carter Beane's (Book) Award Winning stage adaptation of XANADU THE MUSICAL comes alive at Hayes in a bright, shiny explosion of high camp colour.

Theaters and production companies throughout Middle Tennessee are looking for directors, crew members and cast members for several upcoming productions, including Young Frankenstein at Murfreesboro's Center for the Arts and Peter and the Starcatcher at Dickson's Renaissance Players.

The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series will present staged readings of three new musicals: A Tale of Two Cities, with book, music and lyrics by Wendy Kesselman, Platinum, with lyrics and music by Will Holt and Gary William Friedman, and book by Stevie Holland with Gary William Friedman, and The Fitzgeralds of Saint Paul, with book, music and lyrics by Christie Baugher, at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The Point has a fantastic month of dance theatre in April, including the wonderfully enigmatic SWING, presented by Fishamble: The New Play Company and House.

Started in 1998, Spotlight Theatre Company begins its 19th season this August. After beginning in Westminster, they made their home in the quaint 70 seat theatre in the West Colfax E-vents Center located in the heart of Lakewood and in 2008 made the move to Old Towne Lowry to the John Hand Theater in Colorado Free University.

Victoria Theatre Association's annual Summer Cool Films Series continues 2016's celebration of Victoria Theatre's 150th Anniversary with a special line up of films celebrating the time when generations of Daytonians came to the "Victory" to see the latest movie release. The Summer Cool Films Series runs July 8-August 28 and includes Reel Late at the Vic late night movies and daytime Family Films!  Beginning July 8, VTA will set out the popular FREE popcorn and FREE soda plus some FREE nostalgia at the historic Victoria Theatre. Laura Benanti (Amalia), Zachary Levi (Georg),Gavin Creel (Kodaly), Michael McGrath(Sipos), Jane Krakowski (Ilona) and Byron Jennings (Maraczek) star in Roundabout's new Broadway production of SHE LOVES ME, directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Paul Gemignani. SHE LOVES ME officially opens tonight, March 17, 2016, and runs through July 10, 2016 at Studio 54 on Broadway. Dear Readers, I'm back from the Mothership (New York of course) to let you all in on some of the wonderful and not so wonderful things I saw with a few brief notes on each. And yes that includes my catching the juggernaut of all shows on Broadway right now, 'Hamilton'. Now there are some shows that I saw that are still in previews so I can't really review them but wanted to let you know about them anyway. So let's start at the top.

Daniel Evans today announces his final season as Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director, including the eagerly anticipated news of the Crucible's Christmas show, Irving Berlin's whip-cracking musical Annie Get Your Gun. The season also includes two world premieres on the Crucible stage - an adaptation of a classic novel and an exciting new musical set in Sheffield. A poignant moment in the city's history is told on the Studio stage along with a heart-warming family tale for the festive period.

Harriet Power directs Michael Hollinger's musical about men, women, and barbershop quartets. It's noisy, all right, and plenty of fun.

Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) invites audiences to fall in love this summer with Disney's Beauty and the Beast & West Side Story, running July 6 - August 20, 2016 (performances alternate evenings) at Stanley Park's picturesque Malkin Bowl. A beloved Vancouver tradition since 1940, TUTS' two-show subscription packs go on sale TODAY through May 6 (single tickets on sale May 17).

Music Director Carl St.Clair and Pacific Symphony today unveil the 2016-17 Hal and Jeanette Segerstrom Family Foundation Classical and Sunday Casual Connections series and special events. This season celebrates the orchestra's 38th season and its 10th year in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Inaugurated by the Symphony in September 2006, this magnificent venue—with its exceptional acoustics and beautiful architecture—changed the world of symphonic music forever in Orange County. Both the orchestra and its audiences suddenly felt the ceiling to their musical opportunities open up to limitless possibilities. The trajectory of the orchestra sped up, allowing for broader choices in repertoire, greater ensemble excellence and immersive audience experiences—culminating, 10 years later, in this momentous season.

DC Entertainment today announced that the next chapter in Frank Miller's heralded DARK KNIGHT storyline, THE DARK KNIGHT III: THE MASTER RACE (DKIII) will be available tomorrow, November 25, in comic shops and online retailers everywhere. As the five actors and one foley artist take you through the sentimental story, they portray dozens of characters and create dozens more sounds as your imagination is left to paint the full picture.
