The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for its revival of Steve Martin's clever and crowd-pleasing comedy hit Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

Two-time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals has assembled six exciting teams - three led by prominent women directors - to helm the diverse productions planned this season: a tap-happy musical comedy, a beloved classic, a completely reinvented musical from some of the finest creative minds in musical theatre, two bold new musicals, and a holiday show for all ages.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced the full casting for the world premiere of Bud, Not Buddy, a new play by Obie Award winner Kirsten Greenidge, adapted from Christopher Paul Curtis's acclaimed Newbury Medal winning novel, with music by world-renowned jazz artist and composer Terence Blanchard.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber have announced the final extension of Porchlight's 22nd season opener, the multi-Tony Award-winning In The Heights, now playing through Saturday, Dec. 31, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, book by Quiara Alegria Hudes.

Directed and co-choreographed by Brenda Didier, co-choreographed by Chris Carter, music directed by Diana Lawrence and assistant directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. The regular scheduled performance times are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $55 - 75. The Harlem Repertory Theatre is reviving the 1978 TONY award winning musical 'Ain't Misbehavin', for a very limited engagement from October 8th to March 25th at the Tato Laviera Theatre at Harlem Prep Elementary School, 240 East 123rd Street (at 3rd Ave.), Manhattan. A swinging, rip-roaring musical tribute to the black musicians of the Harlem Renaissance, 'Ain't Misbehavin' opened on Broadway in 1978 as a musical revue of Jazz Legend Fats Waller's popular songbook, and it ended up winning a number of awards including the TONY for Best Musical. The Harlem Repertory Theatre's production of 'Ain't Misbehavin', which sold out it's 2008 run and won the AUDELCO 2008 Musical Production of the Year Award, is now returning to the Harlem Rep's stage for its' 2016-17 season in a new intimate cabaret style that will bring the audience closer to the performers. This brilliant showcase of Fats Waller's magnificent songbook will have audiences dancing in the aisles as the HRT's finest company members sing the toe-tapping, hand-clapping songs: T'Ain't Nobody's Business, This Joint is Jumpin', Honeysuckle Rose, the title song, Ain't Misbehavin', and many more! The Harlem Repertory Theatre is proud to be bringing this production back to Harlem; to the neighborhoods Fats Waller knew growing up that inspired him!

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show, originally slated to run through July 31, 2016, will add an additional week, through August 7, in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

The 70th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 12th at 8/9c hosted by James Corden. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize.
