Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that it will present Tony & Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth as 'Lily Garland' and Golden Globe & SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Peter Gallagher as 'Oscar Jaffe' in a new Broadway production of the classic musical ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Warren Carlyle. ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY features music by Cy Coleman and book & lyrics by Betty Comden & Adolph Green.

The Muny announced principal casting for the second show of its amazing 96th season, Tarzan, directed by John Tartaglia, choreographed by Chris Bailey, with musical direction by Rick Bertone. Tarzan is sponsored by U. S. Bank.

Charity Hope Valentine is a dancehall girl who dreams of love and believes the man of her dreams is just around the corner. The New York Philharmonic will present its 11th season of Summertime Classics, July 2-6, 2014, featuring five themed concerts with Bramwell Tovey, who has been the host and conductor of the series since its founding in 2004. On the first program, July 2-3, 2014, titled "Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and Friends," the New York Philharmonic will perform Shostakovich's Festive Overture; Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 1, with pianist Joyce Yang as soloist; Musorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain; Rachmaninoff's arrangement of his own Vocalise; and Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker, and Marche slave. The second program, July 4-6, 2014, titled "Star-Spangled Celebration," will feature the New York Philharmonic and United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps - "The Commandant's Own," which is celebrating its 80th-anniversary year - in a program that includes Copland's Clarinet Concerto, with Associate Principal Clarinet Mark Nuccio as soloist, and Fanfare for the Common Man; Gershwin's "Strike Up the Band" from Strike Up the Band; Sousa marches; and more. In these performances Major Brian Dix, director and commanding officer of "The Commandant's Own," will share conducting duties with Bramwell Tovey.

The Rachel Rosenthal Company (RRC) presents Instant Fairy Tales, a brand new series of original fairy tales for the 21st century at Espace DbD in Los Angeles. Instant Fairy Tales: The Longest Winter, the series' inaugural offering, which features an allegorical tale about learning to care for the environment, will be held on Saturdays, January 25 and February 8, as well as Sundays, January 26 and February 9, 2014. The performances, by Rachel Rosenthal Company's TOHUBOHU! Extreme Theatre Ensemble, begin at 4:00pm and 7:00pm on Saturdays, as well as at 2:00pm and 5:00pm on Sundays.
