Goat & Monkey, the company behind the acclaimed sell-out Reverence: A Tale of Abelard and Heloise (Southwark Playhouse, 2007), returns to the theatre to present their unique take on the traditional Christmas pantomime, JACK AND THE BEANSTALK by Toby Hulse. Directed by Joel Scott. Designed by Rebecca Brower. Sound Design by Tom Hackley for HAVEsound. The first Christmas production in Southwark Playhouse's new main space, The Large, opens in December for a five-week run. It will play from 6 December 2013 to 11 January 2014 with a press evening performance on Tuesday, 10 December (7pm) and a press matinee performance on Thursday, 12 December (1.30pm).

It was announced to day that Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andr Bishop) has selected its leading cast for the hotly anticipated revival of Lerner and Loewe's My Fair Lady. HBO star Lauren Ambrose will play Eliza Doolittle, supported by Harry Hadden-Paton as Henry Higgins, Norbert Leo Butz as Alfred P. Doolittle, and Diana Riggwill be Mrs. Higgins in the upcoming production directed by Barlett Sher.

The NTG has announced that its first tour will be Shakespeare's Globe Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Howard Brenton's In Extremis, the love story of Abelard and Heloise, which will play at venues across the UK in Spring 2014. In Extremis will reunite the original creative team (also responsible for Anne Boleyn) including director John Dove and designer Michael Taylor. First produced by the Globe in 2006, and revived thanks to popular acclaim in 2007, this retelling of the story of Abelard and Heloise received an initially limited run.
