Performing in his 25th country, Goodwill Cultural Ambassador Ronald Rand will represent the United States at the Kenya International Theatre Festival, during his 20th year touring around the world in his celebrated solo play, LET IT BE ART! as Harold Clurman, 'the elder statesman of the American Theatre' on November 3rd in Nakuru at the Nakuru Players Theatre, and on November 5th at the Kenya National Theatre in Nairobi.

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of SOCRATES, written by acclaimed actor, director, and writer Tim Blake Nelson. Directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, the powerful new play will begin with a Free First Preview performance on Tuesday, April 2 and run through Sunday, May 19 with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 16.

Joe Orton's The Ruffian on the Stair is set for four performances only in the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival, it was announced today by Hicks Street Productions. Under the direction of Mark Kemble, the cast will feature (in alphabetical order) S le Bermingham, Reed Michael Campbell, and Brian Foyster. Lighting design is by Matt Richter. The performance dates and times are Sunday 6/9 at 4pm; Thursday 6/13 at 8:30pm; Friday 6/21 at 6:30pm; and Saturday 6/22 at 8pm. Running time will be 60 minutes.

Director Robin Herford recreates Mallatratt's original staging from the London West End for this American premiere of the West End Production, touring the U.S. for the first time.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today that their next Performance on Screen digital production is The Aran Islands by J.M. Synge and adapted and directed by Joe O’Byrne. Cleveland Play House (CPH) kicks off its 2018-2019 Season with the spine tingling tale of Susan Hill's The Woman in Black.  Hill's gothic ghost story, adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, will star Bradley Armacost as Arthur Kipps and Adam Wesley Brown as the Actor in the show that Daily Mail called, "A nerve-shredding experience."  Director Robin Herford will recreate his original staging from the London West End.  The American premiere of the West End Production is produced by PW Productions and Pemberley Productions.  Previews begin on September 15th, with press opening on September 21st at the Allen Theatre in Playhouse Square.
