The Orange Tree Theatre today announces the full cast for Pierre Marivaux's The False Servant, translated by Martin Crimp, whose prolific international career began at the Orange Tree Theatre, including the recent hit revival of Dealing with Clair. Before his final season as Artistic Director of the OT, Paul Miller, directs Uzair Bhatti, Will Brown, Julian Moore-Cook, Phoebe Pryce, Lizzy Watts and Silas Wyatt-Barke.

Pasadena Playhouse has announced casting and creative team for the Los Angeles premiere of the Richard Nelson, Richard Pevear, and Larissa Volokhonsky translation of Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov coming to the Playhouse June 1 through June 26; the press opening is Sunday, June 5 at 5 p.m.

The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, directed by former Artistic Director Joe Dowling, who returns to direct at the Guthrie for the first time since his tenure with the organization ended in 2015.

DTC will present the production with English and Spanish spoken throughout the production. It features translated passages by Nilo Cruz and Jeff Augustin. DTC's production is the first Wilder production in the 125th year-long celebration in 2022. 

Porchlight Music Theatre has announced Chicago Sings Stephen Sondheim, its annual fundraising concert,  Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Ave. 

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) celebrates 30 years with one of the city's most talented actors, Liz Mikel. She made her debut on the DTC mainstage in 1991, appearing in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Since then, Mikel has been featured in multiple DTC productions and currently features in Cake Ladies at the Dee & Charles Wyly Theatre as Tweedy-Bird, a character written specifically for her.

The Kennedy Center has announced its 2021–2022 ballet and dance season - beginning in October 2021.

The Actors' Gang Theater announces a new Axis Mundi evening as part of its digital season: Axis Mundi – In Conversation with Tim Robbins and theatrical legend and visionary director, Peter Brook. The free event, produced in partnership with Fundación Teatro a Mill, will be translated into French and Spanish and will be streamed Thursday, March 25th at 7 pm PST through Zoom and Facebook Live. The live translation is only available through Zoom.

This week, we are highlighting the accomplishments of women in theatre throughout the 1980s and the 1990s!

On February 12, 2021, Door Shakespeare brings together an eclectic ensemble of nine artists to share excerpts from three plays by William Shakespeare that are featured in Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven as part of the 2021 NEA Big Read: Door County, running through February 13.

USITT will begin a series of Collaboration Conversations by welcoming Tony Award-winning collaborators, Julie Taymor and Donald Holder to discuss the process of working together to build a production. The online event will be held Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 at 7:00 pm EST and is offered free of charge for USITT members.

BETSY McBRIDE, SIMON WEXLER, PAOLA HARTLEY, and KAREN SCALZITTI-KENNEDY will be members of the guest faculty for the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ms. McBride and Mr. Wexler will be teaching from July 27-31, 2020, and Ms.  Hartley and Ms. Scalzitti-Kennedy will be teaching from August 3-7, 2020.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Folger Theatre is altering the programming schedule for its 2020/21 'On the Road' season of plays. In working to ensure the well-being and safety of patrons, Folger Theatre, along with its project partners the National Building Museum and the University of South Carolina, have made the decision to postpone the 2020 summer production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and the National Building Museum's Summer Block Party, featuring the Folger Shakespeare Playhouse, to Summer 2021.

Trinity Rep continues its 2019-20 Season with the final play from American theatrical legend August Wilson - Radio Golf. Directed by resident acting company member Jude Sandy, the show features resident acting company member Joe Wilson, Jr., as Harmond Wilks, a man determined to revive his childhood neighborhood without considering the emotional cost. Both moving and funny, Radio Golf is the culmination of August Wilson's ten-play American Century Cycle chronicling each decade of African-American life in the twentieth century. Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) presents William Shakespeare's Timon of Athens, a co-production with Shakespeare Theatre Company in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Director Simon Godwin (Measure for Measure) returns to TFANA with a reimagining of his vibrant staging of Timon of Athens, which premiered at the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2018 - the first time the play had been staged with a female lead.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) announces its 58th season lineup a?" an electrifying selection of plays in celebration of Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte's 30th anniversary with STNJ. The company will return to a six-show format on its Main Stage at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre and one summer production on the Outdoor Stage - the Greek amphitheater on the campus of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Florham Park. The 2020 season will include quite a few works by Shakespeare, but will also include several modern classics never before seen on the STNJ stage.
