Written and produced by Denny Miyasato, the musical tells the story of a present-day serviceman who is transported back in time 120 years, arriving on the streets of a bustling Honolulu to a world of struggle and strife amongst mounting tensions and a heated social and political landscape. He is enchanted by a young Princess Ka'iulani and a captivating story of love and hope, strength and sacrifice unfolds.

BroadwayWorld announced Monday that two time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster would star in the 2020 revival of The Music Man. She joins fellow Tony winner Hugh Jackman in the Meredith Wilson classic. Cherrytree Management and Live Nation have confirmed that Sting will perform at the Usana Amphitheatre in Utah on August 31 at 7:30 PM for a very special, one-night-only appearance, accompanied by the Utah Symphony. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Zion Forever Project to benefit Zion National Park as part of the Park's centennial celebration.

The Antony Tudor Ballet Trust is pleased to announce that Amanda McKerrow has been appointed to be its new Trustee, effective immediately. Ms. McKerrow will be responsible for preserving the work and legacy of Antony Tudor for future generations, ensuring that Tudor's works and teachings are never lost. Sally Bliss, who became the Trustee after Antony Tudor's death in 1987, will step down from this position after 30 years. She will remain as Trustee Emeritus.

In honor of the upcoming engagement, Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert, the Saenger Theatre is inviting fans of all ages to participate in a Star Wars costume contest on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. The winner of the costume contest will receive four tickets to a Saturday showing of Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert, VIP access and a commemorative poster. The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring guest conductor Erik Ochsner, will perform Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert live and will feature a screening of the complete film A New Hope with Oscar-winning composer John Williams' musical scores performed live to the film. Fans will be able to experience the scope and grandeur of this beloved Star Wars film in a live symphonic concert experience, as Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert debuts Friday, Sept. 7th at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 8th at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. The Drilling Company, Hamilton Clancy Artistic Director, will present 'Hamlet,' directed by Karla Hendrick and starring Jane Bradley, for its 2018 Shakespeare in the Parking Lot production. Free performances, originally scheduled for July 12 to 28, will now be presented July 19 to 28 in the Parking Lot of The Clemente, 114 Norfolk Street (E. side of Norfolk St. between Delancey and Rivington). The first week's performances had to be foregone due to an unfortunate miscommunication. Fortunately, the executive leadership of The Clemente stepped in and resolved the impasse with The Drilling Company and Shakespeare in the Parking Lot was able to live on.
