17 McKnight Theater Artist Fellows Sonya Berlovitz (costume design), Thomasina Petrus (actor) and Kimberly Richardson (actor) will present selections from theatrical works in progress on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Mixed Blood Theatre. This free event is presented by the Playwrights' Center, which is taking reservations at pwcenter.org, info@pwcenter.org or 612-332-7481. Mixed Blood Theatre is located at 1501 South 4th Street in Minneapolis.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) and CPA Theatricals present Numbers Nerds, the [almost] all-girl math challenge, with book by Laura Stratford, Music by David Kornfeld, lyrics by Alex Higgin-Houser, additional music by Dylan MarcAurele and original story by Larry Little.  Amber Mak, New Works Development Director at Chicago's Paramount Theatre, directs and choreographs a cast of six, including Danielle Davila, Madison Kauffman, Jake Morrissy, Maisie Rose, Sharon Sachs (Film: 'Home Alone;'  TV: 'Weeds,' 'Dexter,' 'Grimm') and Tiffany Tatreau (Ride the Cyclone). Six performances will be staged at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street, New York City from July 19-23, 2017.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Peter Scolari will join The Muny's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as Pseudolus. Forum is the the third production of its 99th season, which plays July 5-11.

Music Director Manfred Honeck leads the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, guest vocalists and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh in Gustav Mahler's groundbreaking Symphony No. 2, "Resurrection," as part of the BNY Mellon Grand Classics at Heinz Hall on June 2-4.
