Today Craft Recordings/Concord Theatricals released award-winning composer Drew Gasparini's new album, We Aren't Kids Anymore (Original Studio Cast), a new theatrical song cycle that will be licensed worldwide for live performances by professional and amateur theatres through Concord Theatricals.

Kinoshita Group, Kumiko Yoshii, and Michael Wolk announced today simultaneously in New York and Los Angeles that The Karate Kid is being developed for Broadway as a new musical. Based on the smash hit Columbia Pictures motion picture, and featuring a book by the film's screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen and music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini, The Karate Kid will be directed by renowned Japanese director Amon Miyamoto and choreographed by MTV VMA nominees Keone and Mari Madrid.

Deadline reports that the creators of Karate Kid sequel series 'Kobra Kai' will develop a new workplace comedy at Fox.

YouTube today announced that all of its forthcoming original series and specials will soon be available for fans around the world to watch for free with ads- just like they enjoy everything else on the platform. A favorite movie released in 1984, The Karate Kid was a huge hit spawning subsequent sequels and a remake in 2010. YouTube Red is joining other streaming services with original programming and continues the story of The Karate Kid in 2018 with Cobra Kai.
