MusicalFare Theatre, Western New York's most awarded and only professional musical theatre company, presents the Regional Premiere of VIOLET. With a score from Tony award winning composer, Jeanine Tesori, VIOLET features a moving story with show-stopping music. The full cast, creative team and orchestra for the upcoming holiday production of Annie at Skylight Music Theatre was announced today by Skylight Artistic Director Ray Jivoff.

Due to an overwhelming demand, Berkeley Rep has announced that the world premiere musical of Ain't Too Proud-The Life and Times of The Temptations will extend for two additional weeks. Originally scheduled to close on October 8, the popular musical will now run through Sunday, October 22.

The Vancouver Queer Film Festival (VQFF) closes its 29th Festival by announcing its award winners for best feature and short films announced at last night's Closing Gala. Vancouver's own Linnea Ritland won the juried Gerry Brunet Memorial Award for the short film, Violet and June.

The Hollywood Bowl's production of Mamma Mia! begins tonight, July 28, at 8 PM and continues Saturday, July 29, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 30, at 7:30 PM.

As previously announced, Feinstein's/54 Below will present the timely rock musical The Fix: In Concert for one night only, featuring an all-star cast, on Wednesday, August 9th at 9:30pm. 

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full casting and creative team for the world premiere of AIN'T TOO PROUD-THE TEMPTATIONS MUSICAL. The musical stage production will be directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff. Berkeley Rep presents the show by special arrangement with Ira Pittelman and Tom Hulce (American Idiot, Spring Awakening).

Final casting has been announced for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Mamma Mia!, Friday, July 28, at 8 PM, Saturday, July 29, at 8 PM and Sunday, July 30, at 7:30 PM. The new cast members are Tisha Campbell-Martin as Tanya, Hamish Linklater as Harry and Steven Weber as Bill.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, June 26 at 10:00am ET for SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway at The Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway - Broadway at 47th Street). Preview performances begin Monday, November 6th with an official opening on Monday, December 4th.

The Theatre Group at SBCC opens the 17/18 season with Cole Porter's sparkling musical, HIGH SOCIETY, July 12-29 in the Garvin Theatre.
