Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) Theatre For Young Audiences proudly presents GOODNIGHT MOON (Book, Music and Lyrics by Chad Henry. Based on the book Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, Illustrated by Clement Hurd. Adapted from GOODNIGHT MOON. (c) 1947 Harper & Row. Text (c) renewed 1975 by Roberta Brown Rauch. Illustrations (c) renewed 1975 by Edith Hurd, Clement Hurd, John Thacher and George Hellyer, as trustees of the Edith & Clement Hurd 1982 Trust. Used by permission of HarperCollins Publishers. Adaptation by Chad Henry (c) 2006) on stage at the Westwego Performing Arts Theatre January 14-30, 2011. Performances are Fridays at 7:30PM, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2PM. With direction by Andrew Crusse, choreography by Alicia Grubb and musical direction by Natalie True, GOODNIGHT MOON stars P. J. McKINNIE, ANNA TOUJAS ROSENBERG, ADLER HYATT, MICAH RICHERAND DESONIER and ALLEE PECK. Tickets are $15 for Kids, $20 for Students/Seniors and $25 for Adults. Jack Thomas, currently a producer of the hit Off-Broadway play Freud's Last Session and Broadway's Colin Quinn Long Story Short, will be presenting an exhibition of painter Charlotte Lichtblau's paintings and drawings, beginning this Saturday, October 23rd at the 8th Floor Space, a private gallery located at 17 West 17th Street. The show, entitled A WORLD OF ITS OWN, runs through October 31st with admission daily from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This exhibition is curated by Bruce Payne. As part of its pledge to foster emerging artists, Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) presents RAW Material; a juried performance series that encourages burgeoning artists to bring new work to a live audience. Mentored by Artistic Advisor Gus Solomons jr, this season's artists will experiment with innovative ways to construct dynamic frames, discover breakthrough transitions and articulate emotional connections. Fall 2010 RAW Material artists include: Randy Burd; Sumi Clements/Summation Dance; Moriah Evans and Sarah Beth Percival; Gorgas/PoMoMojo; Joanna Kotze; and Dawn Robinson. The six up and coming choreographers will present their new 10-minute works in DNA's 130-seat state-of-the-art theater, October 7 & 8, 2010 at 8:00pm.

New York City Center's seventh annual Fall for Dance Festival, running September 28 - October 9, will showcase 20 national and international companies and choreographers. With ticket prices remaining at $10 for all seats, a night of dance is more affordable than a night at the movies.
