Hamilton's Olivier Award-winning actor Giles Terera will present his new play The Meaning of Zong on Bristol Old Vic's stage this Thursday (11 Oct) for a one-night-only workshop performance. The piece examines the massacre aboard the slave ship Zong in 1781 and the repercussions of these events, which influenced the growing abolition movement in the UK. This rehearsed reading will be followed by a free post-show talk with Giles Terera, Tom Morris and the cast.

NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features, bring the Broadway musical ELF to the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. for the Dec. 18-23, 2018 engagement. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, ELF, is part of the Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans 2018-2019 season.

Pepperdine University's Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art will present Richard Diebenkorn: Beginnings, 1942-1955 from Saturday, January 12, 2019 until Sunday, March 31, 2019, the exhibition's only Southern California venue. A special opening reception will be held Sunday, January 13 from 2-4 p.m. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit School of Rock - The Musical will welcome back to the halls of Horace Green, Mamie Parris, as Principal Rosalie Mullins beginning on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. NST Associate Director Blanche McIntyre directs Lydia Bewley, best known for The Inbetweeners, Plebs and E4's comedy Drifters, Elizabeth Boag, Anna Fordham, Lisa Kerr, Anne Odeke and Alicia Mckenzie. The production, in association with Oxford Playhouse, sees some of the UK's most influential female voices, Wendy Cope, Jenny Eclair, Suhayla El-Bushra, Natalie Haynes, Shappi Khorsandi, Jess Phillips MP and Brona C Titley, come together to write this musical comedy based on the Greek classic, The Assemblywomen. The production opens on 13 September at NST City, with previews from 6 September and runs until 29 September. It will then run at Oxford Playhouse from 3 - 6 October.
