Stages Repertory Theatre Presents Three Upcoming Holiday Shows

Stages' holiday season offers comic alternatives to traditional seasonal shows with three productions including the regional premiere of the irreverent yet heartwarming The Ultimate Christmas Show (abridged), the world premiere of Panto Star Force, the latest in Stages' series of original Pantos for audiences of all ages, and the regional premiere of Who's Holiday!, an adult-themed How the Grinch Stole Christmas parody told entirely in Seussian rhyme. The Ultimate Christmas Show (abridged) and Who's Holiday! will be offered in true repertory style, playing in the same theatre at different performance times. Who's Holiday! will also include late-night performances at 9:30pm on select dates.

The hugely successful, critically-acclaimed Presidential Twitter Library will open in Miami just ahead of The Daily Show's week of shows at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. The Presidential Twitter Library will be open from Friday, October 26 through Sunday, October 28 at the Emanuel Luxury Venue at 1723 Washington Avenue, directly across from the Fillmore. On opening day only, Friday, October 26, the event hours are 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. ET. For the rest of the weekend (10/27-10/28) hours are 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. ET. Admission is free and open to the public. It will be so tremendous that those who miss it will be SAD!

Flying in the face of industry trends and declining PUT levels, Comedy Central completed its fiscal year as one of only three Top 20 cable networks to grow or maintain year-over-year ratings levels. The #1 brand in comedy, which finished the year strong with a +3% increase in primetime among Adults 18-49 for the recently-completed quarter, ended the fiscal year with a 0.185 rating in total day among the key demographic, precisely flat to the 0.185 A18-49 rating for its prior fiscal year.

Florida Studio Theatre Announces New Play Reading

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) presents a new play workshop of Lia Romeo's The Forest, a touching new dark comedy about a mother and daughter who experience extreme change in their lives. Romeo will collaborate with FST's Artistic staff on furthering the work from October 22-26, culminating in a staged reading of the play on Friday, October 26 at 3 PM in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre. This event is presented as part of FST's expanding New Play Development program, and is free and open to the public, however, reservations are required.
