 Vulture today announced additions to the lineup for its second annual Vulture Festival Los Angeles Presented by AT&T, a weekend of high-profile events bringing the entertainment site to life, and an expansion of the pop-culture extravaganza that has taken place in New York City for the last five years. Vulture Festival Los Angeles's lineup includes actors in conversation, exclusive screenings, cast reunions, live podcasts, a comedy show, table reads, a private museum tour, and more, taking place November 17–18, primarily at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt in Los Angeles, with select events at other venues. To Seek a Newer World Productions and Lisa Dozier King in association with New Circle Theatre Company to present the World Premiere of Kennedy: Bobby's Last Crusade written by and starring David Arrow and directed by Eric Nightengale. It will begin performances on November 1; opening Thursday, November 8 and running through December 9, 2018, at the Theatre at the St. Clement's (423 West 46th St). Stages' holiday season offers comic alternatives to traditional seasonal shows with three productions including the regional premiere of the irreverent yet heartwarming The Ultimate Christmas Show (abridged), the world premiere of Panto Star Force, the latest in Stages' series of original Pantos for audiences of all ages, and the regional premiere of Who's Holiday!, an adult-themed How the Grinch Stole Christmas parody told entirely in Seussian rhyme. The Ultimate Christmas Show (abridged) and Who's Holiday! will be offered in true repertory style, playing in the same theatre at different performance times. Who's Holiday! will also include late-night performances at 9:30pm on select dates.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Presents: The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library is coming to Miami. The hugely successful, critically-acclaimed Presidential Twitter Library will open in Miami just ahead of The Daily Show's week of shows at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. The Presidential Twitter Library will be open from Friday, October 26 through Sunday, October 28 at the Emanuel Luxury Venue at 1723 Washington Avenue, directly across from the Fillmore. On opening day only, Friday, October 26, the event hours are 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. ET. For the rest of the weekend (10/27-10/28) hours are 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. ET. The new musical comedy Beetlejuice will open on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway) on April 25, 2019, but first the musical will have its world premiere at the National Theatre in Washington D.C., officially opening on Sunday, November 4, 2018.

NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features, bring the Broadway musical ELF to the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. for the Dec. 18-23, 2018 engagement. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, ELF, is part of the Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans 2018-2019 season.

CBS today announced an all-star lineup of Drew Barrymore, RuPaul Charles, James Corden and Faith Hill for THE WORLD'S BEST, a new global talent competition series from two of the most prolific unscripted producers in television, Mike Darnell (“American Idol” and “Ellen's Game of Games”) and Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, “The Voice”).

HBO is developing a comedy series with Jason Kim and Greta Lee about Los Angeles' Koreatown neighborhood, according to Variety.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Sister Act on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, January 6, 2019.  Previews will be on Wednesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 15, 2018. With music by Alan Menken, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, lyrics by Glenn Slater and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane, this uplifting musical comedy is based on the hit 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg.

Flying in the face of industry trends and declining PUT levels, Comedy Central completed its fiscal year as one of only three Top 20 cable networks to grow or maintain year-over-year ratings levels. The #1 brand in comedy, which finished the year strong with a +3% increase in primetime among Adults 18-49 for the recently-completed quarter, ended the fiscal year with a 0.185 rating in total day among the key demographic, precisely flat to the 0.185 A18-49 rating for its prior fiscal year.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) presents a new play workshop of Lia Romeo's The Forest, a touching new dark comedy about a mother and daughter who experience extreme change in their lives. Romeo will collaborate with FST's Artistic staff on furthering the work from October 22-26, culminating in a staged reading of the play on Friday, October 26 at 3 PM in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre. This event is presented as part of FST's expanding New Play Development program, and is free and open to the public, however, reservations are required. Comedy Central today launched the Animated Shorts Program, a new development initiative designed for creators to submit short form animated ideas directly to Comedy Central and provide them with the potential to sign a development deal with the #1 brand in comedy, it was announced today by Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Heads of Talent and Development, Comedy Central.

Joe Kinosian, the original star and co-creator of the Off-Broadway sensation Murder for Two will lead the Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) cast of the musical-comedy whodunit October 17 - November 11 at the Nancy L. Donahue Theatre at Liberty Hall, according to Artistic Director Sean Daniels and Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas.

Art House Productions announces its full schedule of arts programming from September 2018 until June 2019.  Beginning in September, Art House presents its first Artist-in-Residence: Raven Taisce White. Raven is a trans woman from South Carolina and her company, BIRDHOUSE perform a reimagining of their piece Hot Winter. Hot Winter follows five humans as they struggle to understand one another, unifying in difference and falling apart in sameness and is a surrealistic look at the performers' collective universe.

Rehearsals have begun for the world premiere of "Quack" by Eliza Clark. Directed by Center Theatre Group Associate Artistic Director Neel Keller, the production will begin previews October 21, open October 28 and continue through November 18, 2018, at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.

City Opera Vancouver presents the astonishing and macabre operatic thriller, Nigredo Hotel, on September 20 - 22, 2018 at 8pm at The Cultch Historic Theatre. This one-act chamber opera directed by Alan Corbishley, with music by Nic Gotham and libretto by distinguished Canadian author and playwright Ann-Marie MacDonald, tells the tale of an encounter between a beautiful but crazed hotelier and a brain surgeon who seeks refuge after a traumatic car accident. Internationally renowned opera stars Tyler Duncan and Sarah Vardy will perform a brilliant Jungian-inspired combat between two of the most unusual characters in 20th century opera, backed by a four-player jazz combo.
