Today's subject Matthew Bourne has done what some might say is impossible, making his theatre life quite the big deal. Bourne has managed to meld the worlds of classical dance and theatre together in his internationally acclaimed company New Adventures with some pretty terrific results. His latest creation, Cinderella, hits the stage of the Opera House at Kennedy Center on January 15 playing through the 20th.

Celebrating the enduring stories and beloved characters that have charmed audiences across genres, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Carbonell Award-winning Slow Burn Theatre Company have announced the 2019/2020 Slow Burn Theatre season in the Amaturo Theater.

Following last season's acclaimed production of The Red Shoes, renowned British choreographer Matthew Bourne and his company, New Adventures, return to the Opera House stage with one of its most popular and beloved productions, Cinderella, January 15-20.

Fifteen screenwriters from countries including the U.S., Lebanon, South Africa, Turkey, and the United Kingdom will bring twelve projects to the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab, taking place January 18-23, 2019 at the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah. The Lab provides an immersive environment that encourages all participants to embrace a spirit of creative risk-taking and collaboration, and imparts vital lessons in the art and craft of screenwriting while building a robust creative community. Through one-on-one story sessions with Creative Advisors, Fellows take part in an artistically rigorous process that facilitates the deep exploration needed to fully realize their material. The Lab is the first step in a year-round continuum of customized creative and tactical support for each project and team.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), the professional North Fulton theatre company, will remount its 2017 smash hit, the Tony Award-winning musical, Million Dollar Quartet, at the Conant Performing Arts Center on the campus of Oglethorpe University. Inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time, this production will run December 14, 2018 through January 12, 2019 at a new venue for GET in Brookhaven at Oglethorpe University.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel's thought-provoking play Indecent. Inspired by the 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's Yiddish drama The God of Vengeance, and the controversy that surrounded its themes of censorship, immigration and anti-Semitism, Vogel explores the behind-the-scenes story of the courageous artists who risked their careers and lives to perform this piece of theater under the most challenging circumstances. Infused with music that combines standards from Yiddish theater with folk traditions of the early to mid-20th century, Indecent, a co-production with Baltimore Center Stage and Kansas City Repertory, is directed by Eric Rosen, with choreography by Erika Chong Shuch and music direction and original music by Alexander Sovronsky. The production runs November 23 - December 30, 2018 in the Kreeger Theater.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Brighton upcomers Beach Riot have announced their debut EP release for January 25th via Vallance Records. Fronted by a fine slice of catchy, fuzzy pop in new single, Good To Know (That I'm Still on Your Mind), the full 4-track EP was recorded by Blood Red Shoes' Steven Ansell, who continues to be an integral part of all Beach Riot recordings.

Who made this country and how do we move forward together? As we wrestle with questions of identity and ownership, we turn to our greatest playwright to reflect on 'This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England' as staged by the first-ever company of women of colour in a Shakespeare play on a major UK stage. Co-directed by Adjoa Andoh and Lynette Linton, Adjoa will also play the titular role.

Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production stars Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role, with Allie Trimm (13: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway) and Leslie Hiatt. Now in previews, opening is slated for Today, October 4.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Founding Artistic Director Steven Maler, announced the cast of the first production of its 2018-19 Season: Universe Rushing Apart: Blue Kettle & Here We Go, two one-act plays by Caryl Churchill, directed by Bryn Boice.
