Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), tonight, October 2, through October 24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere production of A Confederacy of Dunces, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by John Kennedy Toole, directed by David Esbjornson (Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and All My Sons) and featuring Nick Offerman of NBC's 'Parks and Recreation.'  Performances begin November 11, 2015 and will run through December 13, 2015 at the BU Theatre / Avenue of the Arts. 

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced complete casting for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Important Hats of the Twentieth Century, the new comedy by Emmy Award nominee Nick Jones, directed by Tony Award nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel.

Company of Fools (COF) will present the critically acclaimed and award-winning play, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts for the second show of their 20th Season. Letts's jaw-dropping masterpiece opens tonight, September 30, and runs through October 17, 2015 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey, Idaho.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater welcomes accomplished actor Cedric Neal in the role of James 'Thunder' Early in DREAMGIRLS, the Tony Award-winning musical which opens tonight, September 26 and runs from September 22 - November 1, 2015 in The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse mainstage theater.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues their 2015-2016 mainstage season with the award-winning American classic, 'Death of a Salesman' by Arthur Miller playing October 16- November 7, 2016. Sacramento, CA -This year the 33rd annual Elly Awards - Adult Division were announced at the candy-decorated Elks Lodge No. 6 in Sacramento on Sunday night. Named for Eleanor McClatchy, a devoted patron of the arts and former publisher of the Sacramento Bee, the Elly Awards celebrates excellence in Sacramento's local and regional community theater. A grand total of 34 Elly Awards, plus two lifetime achievement awards, were given to individuals and theaters from across a 10-county region in the Adult Division which includes Comedy, Drama, Musicals and Original Works. Sponsored by the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance (SARTA), this formal event was attended by nearly 300 active community theatre members and their families and friends.

3Girls Theatre Company takes pleasure in announcing the world premiere of an original musical comedy: MOMENTS OF TRUTH, by 3GT resident playwright Patricia Milton (book) and Caroline Altman (music & lyrics). This world premiere production is directed by Louis Parnell, with music direction by Scrumbly Koldewyn, and runs tonight, Sept. 16 - Oct. 18, 2015 at Royce Gallery in San Francisco.

Curio Theatre Company has announced its 2015-2016 Season. The company's 11th Season includes new looks at modern classic works of theatre.  The season will open with the Philadelphia Premiere of a one-woman staging of The Handmaid's Tale (October 15-November 14). It continues with The Bald Soprano (December 2-December 19). 2016 kicks off with the production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman (February 4-March 5). The season concludes with Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan (April 21-May 21).

Deeply controversial in its time, productions of this 1926 play were censored, and its producers and actors jailed. The Captive will be produced inside Society Hill's Physick House at 321 S. 4th Street. The historic townhouse in fact will be the perfect co-conspirator as the secrets and heated private moments unfold. PAC co-founding Artistic Director Dan Hodge directs the talented cast led by well-known Rachel Brodeur and newcomer Chase Byrd.

What could be more appropriate in this year, which leads up to a presidential election, than to examine the political hacks who run the campaigns. Voila, for the start of its 36th season, Ensemble Theatre has chosen Beau Willimon's 2008 drama, FARRAGUT NORTH, which examines the lust for power among political hacks.

Dark & Stormy Productions today announces the producers, venue, and partners for its upcoming production of Extremities by William Mastrosimone. Previously, Dark & Stormy has presented Outside Providence by Edward Allan Baker, Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet, The Receptionist by Adam Bock, The Drunken City by Adam Bock, and The Hothouse by Harold Pinter. Extremities will be the first production of Dark & Stormy's 2015 season.
