THE BOOK OF MORMON features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone are the four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of Comedy Central's landmark animated series, "South Park." Tony Award-winner Lopez is co-creator of the long-running hit musical comedy, Avenue Q. The world premiere musical is choreographed by five-time Tony Award-nominee Casey Nicholaw (Monty Python's Spamalot, The Drowsy Chaperone) and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, which follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that's about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get, has been nominated for 14 Tony Awards, including Best Musical; 12 Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical; 6 Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Musical and the Drama League Award for Best Musical. THE BOOK OF MORMON is also the recipient of the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical.

WICKED Breaks Box Office Records at Hollywood Pantages During Holiday Weeks

The Los Angeles return of WICKED has set two separate box office records at Hollywood Pantages Theatre over the recent holiday weeks. The production grossed $2,512,446 for the 8-performance week ending December 28th, a record previously held by The Book of Mormon set in November 2012. This past week ending January 4th, WICKED went on to break its own box office record for a 9-performance week previously set in January 2009, grossing $2,848,613.

Happy Birthday, Andrew Rannells! Rannells played Bob Gaudio in the First National Tour of Jersey Boys. In January 2009, he reprised the role of Gaudio in the musical's Broadway production. Rannells originated the role of Elder Price in The Book of Mormon, a musical written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q composer Robert Lopez. For his performance, he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. His last performance was June 10, 2012. He will soon play Bryan Buckley in Ryan Murphy's new television series The New Normal on NBC.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Philadelphia, PA for the week ending August 10 the Forrest Theatre grossing $1,678,495.00 for a standard 8-performance week. This tops the previous record, held by Jersey Boys in 2012 of $1,617,700.00.
