The Guthrie Theater today announced that British theater, television and film actor Daniel Gerroll will play the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in the 2010 production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, presented by U.S. Bank.

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is excited to be a part of the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of afterlife: a ghost story. Steve Yockey's poetic play follows a young couple in the process of grieving, who tumble into an alternate reality, are forced to confront the ghosts that haunt them, and ultimately must decide what their afterlife will be. Directed by Kate Warner, afterlife: a ghost story will open for the press on Monday, January 17, 2011 and run through Sunday, February 6, 2011 in the Charles Mosesian Theater.

The familiar story of Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the ghosts that can change a life is a holiday favorite and annual tradition for scores of families in the area.

Anthony Rodriguez is back for a fourth year with his compelling solo performance of the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. Not unlike the way Charles Dickens performed his story in Victorian England, Mr. Rodriguez focuses on the classic art of storytelling. Using his voice and mannerisms, Rodriguez brings life to Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley and the remarkable ghosts found in the greatest Christmas story of all time.

CAPA today announced its season lineup for 2010-11. Highlights include the return of Columbus' favorite saxophonist extraordinaire, Dave Koz, and the ever-popular, riotous comedy of The Second City.
