The Charles Dickens' holiday classic A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas comes to life on stage at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street) December 3-19, 2010. Produced by Beth Marshall Presents and directed by nationally-acclaimed writer and theatre instructor John DiDonna, Michael Wilson's unique adaptation of the classic Dickens' tale is the second-largest production in the Garden Theatre history with a local cast and crew of over 50 people.

The show will star film, television and theatre actor Dennis Neal as Ebenezer Scrooge. Neal is a professional actor with over 25 years of coast to coast experience. For the past 15 years he has been conducting classes and private coaching. Neal's film and television credits include roles in John Sayles' Sunshine State; Wild Things with Kevin Bacon, Neve Campbell and Bill Murray; First Time Felon with Omar Epps and Delroy Lindo; ABC's The Practice; and NBC's The West Wing. This will be Neal's Garden Theatre premiere.

Mike Lane co-stars as Bob Crachit, Jamie Middleton as Mrs. Cratchit/Mrs. Feeziwig/Mrs. Dilbe, Joe Swanberg as Jacob Marley, Richard Betts as Mr. Feeziwig, Samantha O'Hare as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Alexander Mrazek as the Ghost of Christmas Present, and Ronnell Thompson as Young Ebenezer Scrooge. Also appearing in the show are Felecia Chivaugh, David Almeida, Olivia Horn, Emily Killian, Cory Boughton, and Douglas McGeoch. Seven children will be in the production as well: Jason Zavitz as Tiny Tim, Lance Gamble as Boy Scrooge, Haylee Gooch, Sydney Adams Farley, Madeline Mangas, MacKendrick Zavitz, and Alex Budd.

Dickens' classic family tale ushers in the holiday season and the wonderful sprit (or spirits) of Christmas. Film and television star Dennis Neal portrays the miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve and awakens the next day a changed man.

Tickets: $24 ($20 seniors/students)
$10 for kids 12 and under on Thursdays and Sundays
Children age 2 and under are welcome to sit on a parent's lap at no charge for this performance.
