Actors Theatre Gallery and Kentucky Women Photographers Network announce Maps of the Imagination-a collection of work that takes you on a visual journey with twelve of Kentucky's finest women photographers, tonight, September 2, through October 25, 2015.

The Winter Park Playhouse jumps into the Fall with the smash Off-Broadway hit The Marvelous Wonderettes September 11 - October 10 2015. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2p.m. and select Wednesday, Friday and Sunday matinees at 2p.m.  The preview performance is Thursday, September 10 at 7:30p.m.

Bravo! Vail Music Festival Executive Director John Giovando and Artistic Director Anne-Marie McDermott today announced a special three-performance residency with London's internationally acclaimed chamber orchestra Academy of St Martin in the Fields for its 2016 season.

This one-woman show stars Charlie Irving, and runs from July 11 thru August 17 at Redtwist Theatre, 1044 W. Bryn Mawr, Chicago, IL 60660. Broadway favorites Chita Rivera and Roger Rees star in this stirring adaptation and appear on THEATER TALK to discuss their roles in it. Joining them are The Visit's innovative director, John Doyle, and composer, John Kander, who wrote the score with lyricist Fred Ebb (the pair's last collaboration before Ebb's death).

Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB) celebrates the 35-year legacy of its Founding Artistic Director Ike Schambelan and the opening night of its current production, Agatha Christie's rarely seen 1958 thriller THE UNEXPECTED GUEST, with a gala benefit on Sunday, April 19. The performance begins at 6:00pm at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). A reception with the cast, TBTB members, and special guests follows the performance, at 8:30pm, at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42nd Street).

They were married actors. Who worked together, almost exclusively, for decades. Stage actors who chose to turn down big-money offers from Hollywood. Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne ruled Broadway, toured the nation and even played London's West End in the middle of World War II. With the Theatre Guild, they took low salaries to play in acclaimed productions of Shaw, O'Neill and Shakespeare; as well as three plays by their good friend Noel Coward. Laurence Olivier once said, 'Everything I know about acting I learned from Alfred Lunt.' A Broadway theater was named for them in 1958, and the Cole Porter musical 'KISS ME KATE' was inspired by their on and off-stage battles. Hugely famous in their time, they are now almost completely forgotten by the general public.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, beloved as one of the world's most popular dance companies, will share its inspiring artistry with Tri-state audiences at the Aronoff Center's Procter & Gamble Hall for two nights only, tonight and tomorrow, March 3-4, 2015 at 7:30pm. The much-anticipated dance event is part of the Cincinnati Arts Association's 2014-15 Season.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that songwriters and producers Holland-Dozier-Hollandwill be honored with the 2,543rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame tomorrow, Friday, February 13, at 11:30 a.m. The star in the category of Recording will be dedicated near the Live Nation Building at 7070 Hollywood Boulevard. Holland-Dozier-Holland have reunited for the first time in more than 30 years to write the score for the new Broadway-bound musical First Wives Club, which will make its World Premiere in Chicago on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 and play through March 29, 2015 at the Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph St.).
